As it stands today, the Titans would play Indy in the first Playoff game.

Here's to hoping...more like wishful thinking.

Here's what's going to happen starting this weekend. We're ready to make that playoff run now. The Colts and Jets are about to start tanking, while we're about to get hot and go on a 6-game winning streak to finish the season. I'll tell you how it's gonna go down.

The coaches will realize that the time for playing it safe is over. We're going to pull out all the stops and go for broke...
First, our defense is going to lead the way for us because Gregg Williams is going to finally snap and override all of Jerry Gray's weak passive gameplans and playcalling. You'll see way more aggression...no playing 10-15 yards off the receivers, no soft zone coverages, almost no 3-man rushing, more stunts and more blitzing and solid tackling. Look for Casey, Morgan, Brown, and McCarthy to start taking over with sacks, pressures and crucial stops, while guys like Verner and Griffin reap the benefits with more turnovers.
On offense, both CJ and Shonn Greene will take over and become the AFC's leading rushing duo while the O-line finally finds their rhythm and starts gelling. This gives Fitz-magic time to rejuvenate whatever's left in his game with Wright and Walker emerging as his top targets, with Nate quietly killing defenses as our clutch man. Even Britt will redeem himself by busting loose with newfound beast-mode production (similar to that Philly game) in rare opportunities during our push...enough to make us actually consider keeping him around.

End result of all of this? We make the playoffs, and make it to the AFC Conference game. We barely lose to an elite team, scaring the shiznit out of them. This earns Munchak and Co. a new contract with Jerry Gray getting ousted in favor of Williams completely taking over as DC. Loggains completes his first year as OC with a promising push and still room for improvement with the right added pieces. Britt will get a new incentive-based deal that allows him to get paid without burning us. We draft a QB to groom/compete with Locker (due to durability issues).

And so it begins....
Phase I has taken place, kinda, and the rest is soon to follow...<sinister villain laugh>

I was just coming in here to post this. Damn TB. What the hell are they doing?

Can you imagine Watt and Clowney together? Shocked

I can't stomach them getting Teddy, Clowney, Nix, or Barr.

Getting defensive players don't frighten me,oddly enough. Watt and Clowney would be nasty, but not unbeatable. As good as Watt is, he can't win a game alone.

I hope Jacksonville and Houston take defensive players over QBs.

A QB will change the fortune of a franchise. A Defensive player will only do so much.

Yea it's easily noticeable. Can't beat Jacksonville with that much talent on your team. I applaud the Titans for not going down that road.

Yeah, the Houston sports media believes the team has pretty much quit on Kubiak. I don't believe any of it was intentional. The whole Matt Schaub pick-6 issue and it not being resolved or addressed soon enough, is what started the unraveling several weeks ago. The defense was at least still trying to hang in there for Wade and keep them in games, but it's all suffering from the domino effect. Their offense has gone south and it shows. I think Kubes really lost them when he yanked Case Keenum last week and put Schaub in. That was like the nail in the coffin.

We might look sloppy and have questionable to bad playcalling, but at least we're still fighting or at least look like it.

Agreed. Plus although our team is talented, we still lack in some key areas. We easily better than last year IMO. Yes we may see some of the same things but we're getting blown out each week anymore. The team has obviously improved. Our biggest problem as of now(besides the QB issue), is generating a consistent pass-rush. Morgan will never be that guy and Casey has had a great year and is our best player on D but he can't do it alone. Hill is basically a FA bust. Maybe that's health but he hasn't been all that special this year. Klug has been non-existent outside of the Jet game. Johnson has been a nice pickup for a depth guy. Martin has been solid but one-dimensional. Ropati was a nice pickup but we need more. Kamerion Wimbley is easily one of biggest FA busts we've ever had. I didn't like the signing when it happened simply because he's not a every down player at DE. Well he's barely playing now. He's getting paid a load of money to sit on the bench. I can't see him on this team next year. Edwards is a rookie and I didn't expect much from him this year but he's been solid when he's played. I expect him to be a nice depth player for us going forward. We need to find someone whether it be draft or FA(Hardy and Johnson are FA's) to help in generating a pass-rush but also help against the run because our run D is still bad. Which brings me to our next point - Our LBs have sucked this year. The D-Line isnt going to stop the run every play, so the LBs need to help which they are not. There's no way around it. Brown was burnt by a FB twice yesterday and Ayers is offering nothing in the pass-rush(which is what he's supposed to be doing). I don't like that we blitz more. Fokou and McCarthy both suck. Idc who anybody thinks is better because MLB needs to be upgraded this offseason as well but sadly I don't think they will. Our secondary has been great this year in my opinion. I wish their was a way we could switch that Verner and Wimbley contract Laughing There's 4 players at the moment I don't want on this team next year and that's CJ, Stewart, Wimbley, and Britt. Britt will be gone due to his contract being up but the other 3 are under contract sadly. Ok I'll end rant now....

I swear to god if we don't make the playoffs AND screw ourselves out of a decent pick then I'm done.

BUUUUUT . . . if by some unholy, unrealistic, satanic miracle we actually DID make the playoffs . . . AND THEN made a run to the Super Bowl . . .

Wait wait wait. Hype train. Can't get on that stupid thing yet.

Tanking is the worst thing you can do in the NFL. If you know how to draft, it doesn't matter where you pick. Kendall Wright was the 20th pick, Hunter was a 2nd round pick, Casey was a 3rd round pick, Brown was a 2nd round pick, Ayers was a 2nd round pick, Schwenke who looks decent so far was a 4th round pick, etc.

If this FO/CS has done nothing else right, they've drafted pretty well, and they've shown you don't need to pick in the top 10/top 5 to get an impact player.

I just want to say I love the future of this team with such young talent showing with the likes of Wright and Hunter. Pair them with the vets Washington and Damian Williams with that bum Britt getting shown the door and hopefully Mariani back to doing what he does best and I don't think we need to touch WR for awhile.

A huge win yesterday in a big game, Fitzpatrick has been amazing the past few games and given us every chance to win. Yesterday I think was especially a statement from him as what most people question is his performance in key moments and that clutch final drive for the win was masterfully engineered.

Wright and Hunter played lights out however game ball for sure goes to Fitzpatrick who is putting up huge numbers as of late. I can say with certainty Fitzpatrick at his best this year is BETTER than Locker's best and I can't believe I am saying that. Locker honestly has yet to show anything and if there is one thing Locker wishes he had of Fitz it is his toughness. Fitz gets hit hard and keeps going never quits lots of fire got to love it.

If the Titans make the playoffs or finish very strong I think this coaching staff will be back next year and I know a lot of you would not like that. However, coaching staff or not I feel if Fitzpatrick keeps this up he definitely deserves to be in the competition for our starting QB next year whether or not it is competing against Locker or (insert QB's name here). Fitzpatrick I believe has earned that and I believe will continue to earn it this year.

Crazy to think we are the 6th seed, the losses to the Jags and Colts really suck and sting now but we can still make it.

Go Titans next up once again we got a huge game against the Colts and once again they get blown out before us. Let's finally take down the Colts in their barn this time!

I instantly ignored everything you said after this. If you don't think Locker is tough go look at some of the hits he took in college. Just because he physically can't play the game after a Lisfranc injury doesn't mean the kid isn't tough.
