Would Gase take this job though?

Possibly. I'm sure Peyton Manning would say good things about Cleveland's owner, Jimmy Haslam. Gase could see that there's plenty of talent on the Browns, but the main thing holding them back is QB. They have plenty of cap space and draft picks to work with, so they'll be able to bring in even more talent that Gase likes.

I don't think he was a serious candidate anyway.

Browns will interview Mike Pettine, Buffalo's defensive coordinator.

Doesn't strike me as a good candidate, probably just something to do prior to Gase being available.

Why isn't Pettine a good candidate and Gase is? Pettine has been a part of some of the NFL's best Defenses for the last 5 or 6 years and has learned from maybe the best Defensive mind in the league for most of his NFL career.

His players love him and he has plenty of NFL experience. Gase has only ever coordinated a Peyton Manning lead Offense. Does that not scare you for someone of his age?

Pettine is a much safer candidate than Gase right now.

You guys can't have Pettine Evil or Very Mad

I think he is just getting his feet wet in the interview process. I can't see him leaving for something as shaky as the situation in Cleveland. Another good year with the Bills defense and he'll be a top candidate next season. He aint going anywhere.

I never said Gase was a good candidate. But wasn't Pettine confirmed as the leak in Jets organization, also being a great offensive/defensive mind doesn't mean you're a great HC.

IDK. He's 47 and this is the first time I've heard of him being interviewed for a HC job despite being the coordinator for some pretty badass defenses. Im not sure if he's the kind of guy who can just turn down jobs until something ideal comes along.

I could see the Browns settling in on Tom Cable, he'll take the job. He's a great O-line coach and will get the running game going and could bring over some coaches from Seattle to run the defense.

Wow. I really thought last year the Browns were turning things around. They put togather a good staff, they recouped losses from Richardson, they showed some young great talent....

Firing Chud, and then losing Norv (and Horton?) is a huge step in the wrong direction.

You very well could be right. But I wanna see who they replace Chud with before I say if they're headed in the wrong direction or not.

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports the Browns will interview Cowboys special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia for their head-coaching vacancy on Saturday.
Bisaccia has 30 years of coaching experience and also received interest from the Redskins earlier this offseason. Prior to serving as the Cowboys' special teams coordinator, he worked as Auburn's running backs coach under Gus Malzahn and was an assistant with the Bucs from 2002-2010. The Browns are thought to be waiting on Broncos OC Adam Gase to interview for their head-coaching job, so Bisaccia isn't considered a strong candidate to replace Rob Chudzinski.

They're getting people to come in for interviews. Somebody will take it eventually.
