I would have given a 5th for him.. what a steal. That Detroit trade is also puzzling.. at least FFMD is continuing the unrealistic trade trend Laughing

I can't believe what Detroit gave up. I am hoping to find a trading partner to trade back in the draft.

I believe we have no glaring needs and so I don't want to take a player at 9 if we can get him at 13-18.

I've officially put our 9th pick on the active shopping list.

It's never easy to move down, when it comes closer to the pick that's when it'll pick up if at all. I'd bank on us taking someone at 9. Matthews is my top choice, followed by Ebron.

Well, looks like the Falcons are going to take Matthews. I'll go on record as saying I don't want to take Lewan at 9, so hopefully we can hold off on addressing the OL unless we get a trade down.

If this plays out like I assume it will then we'll have the option of guys like:

Ebron, Donald, Lewan, Mosley, and maybe Mike Evans?

What do you guys think we should do?

Evans to the Bucs.

I'm thinking we go defense here.

Neither Ebron or Lewan excite me. Thoughts?

I'm not very happy with the way this draft fell either assuming we stay put. I'm pretty sure Ebron is the only offensive option left I'd support, but yeah, I'm not excited about him.

Unfortunately, no one left on defense really excites me either as far as taking at #9. I think Anthony Barr is BPA, but he's not exactly the best fit. I know it's not going to be popular, because people didn't like the idea in FFMD1 even after we traded down, but if we do go defense, my top choice would be Justin Gilbert.

Honestly, I'd take Ebron or Lewan. This draft hasn't fallen our way. I think BPA is Lewan or Barr, neither of which we have brought in on visits. Ebron makes the most logical sense if we think realistically. We can get some solid tackles in the later rounds rather than gamble on Lewan.

Donald is a great player but I just don't like the idea of taking another rotational DT. We have Branch, Dareus and Kyle. We can't just assume we won't resign Dareus for the sake of taking Donald now, makes no sense to me.

I hate the idea of going CB early, and I think I made that very clear in FFMD I. If we go CB it better be Dennard, I'm all that high on Gilbert @ 9.

I would love to trade back here, if we can find a suitable partner. If not, I would go Ebron, as much as he doesnt excite me, the tackle depth is a lot more solid in this draft than the depth at TE.

1. Ebron
2. Tiny Richardson/Morgan Moses/Joel Biotino

That's my method of thinking as well. The tackle and guard depth is better than TE. Ebron gives us a legit threat down the middle.

We're on the clock, and Ebron would be my top choice at this point as well.

Trent gave me the go-ahead to make the pick. I'll be heading home from work in a minute, should be home at 5:30. More than enough time to explore a trade back (nothing came my way yet).

Ebron is my choice as well.

With the 9th pick the Buffalo Bills select...

Eric Ebron, TE, N. Carolina

Gives Buffalo a legitimate threat over the middle that will open up things on the outside for Mike Williams and Robert Woods, as well as give Stevie room in the slot. EJ Manuel gets himself yet another offensive threat to throw to. Should help with his development in many ways! Welcome to Buffalo Eric!
