This whole time everyone joked that they were moving the team to Los Angelos and instead they're moving Los Angelos to the team.

Edit: Think it's a really good decision btw, Jags are showing pro sports teams how to attract fans. I would honestly rather attend a Jags game with the stadium renovations that they're making than any other team right now.

I grew up in FL so I always rooted for the Jags if I could and I think theyre headed in a very good direction...

They've been making smart moves both off and on the field (most notably hiring Gus Bradley who I think will be a great HC and drafting Bortles who I see being a franchise qb)

I highly doubt they leave Jacksonville, and that is good because their fans deserve to see them become a great team again , which I see happening very soon thanks to the fact that they now have their franchise HC and QB, along with some pretty exciting young players on both sides of the ball

I think that the Bradley-Bortles era will be incredibly successful. Like, a LOT more successful than the Garrard-Del Rio era ever was.

Honestly, I like that he's doing something different with the stadium. The Tarps.. I mean that was just a terrible image, this is a good solution and I'm sure the fans that can afford to be in that section of the stadium will love it. Good for them, hey, it's florida, what reason do you have to not party? Wink

Who in their right mind would pay that much to go to a Jaguar game?

Celebrities?

Which I'm sure Jacksonville is teeming with.

Your hate for Jax in this thread is a bit much.

How can you not like it. The world's biggest scoreboard no longer belongs to Jerry Jones so that's a plus. As long as the pool area doesn't take away from the actual watching of the game (which is really why you are there) then it's a great idea.

Seems like a cool place to watch a game honestly, now they just need to field a team worth watching.

So essentially Jacksonville is removing 9500 seats to go party mode in one of their end zones. I honestly am not a fan of this move. We've seen this in other sports a bit and it has had some mixed success overall. In KC at the Royals ballpark there is a party deck for example. However the main reason teams tend to do this, is when the product on the field isn't good enough. It's a desperation move for attendance. That's certainly been the case for the Royals and some other MLB teams but the NFL hasn't had this SUSTAINED kind of problem. The overall product, regardless of team, has been that good when it comes to the NFL and is always capable of a quick turn around preventing enduring long time suffering since the salary cap era.

Jacksonville just had a pretty exciting draft I would think for that fan base. I'd think that product is worth viewing. This move is the wrong direction IMO.

What say you Jags fans? What say you NFL fans?

Honestly what's so exciting about the draft-- a massive reach at QB that the staff says wont play all of next season? Are people going to come to watch Bortles on the bench?

Another issue is that the stadium's seating capacity is large because of the one big college game a year it hosts (Florida-Georgia) and basically all top tier college teams sell a ton more tickets than any NFL team so the stadiums have to be bigger.

Maybe they wont have to put fake crowd volumes now in madden 15. Laughing

As a guy who will never be in Jacksonville, I think it might look interesting on tv. I always enjoyed the royals park when I was younger.

Edit: I wonder how the smaller stadium capacity affects future superbowl bids.

I heard Josh Gordon read this thread title and demanded a trade to the Jags.

He later withdrew his demand when he realized he misread the title.

If these are available during the Florida - Georgia game... oh dear. That'd be so baller.
