Still TBD. Colts signed another DT this morning. Dolphins may still be in the mix for a one-year deal. |
Poe signed with Atlanta for 1-year, $8 million (up to $10 million with incentives).
I'm glad the Dolphins didn't pay that. |
I wouldn't have minded, honestly. |
I don't think that's a bad deal for Atlanta, but it would've been pointless for us. We aren't one player away from the Super Bowl, and if Poe has a great year we couldn't have afforded to re-sign him. At best it would have given Phillips one more year to develop, but honestly if Phillips doesn't play consistent this year then it's time to replace him. |

Any idea as to why Dion Jordan is still on the roster with all the reports saying he will be cut these past couple months? |

Your guess is as good as mine.
Maybe he has marginal trade value, i.e. a conditional 2018 7th? _________________

Dion is a player that is very difficult to make a decision on. He is sunk cost and it really doesn't hurt the team to keep him for the offseason. He could very easily turn it around. Remember, he has elite athletic ability. Guys with his skills don't grow on trees.
If it were my decision, I would give him the OTA's to see if he has gotten with the program. See if he is hungry, see his effort level, and then decide to cut him loose.
Misi will be cut if we sign Zach Brown. I believe he was around as insurance until the draft. |

Zach Brown is your pipedream???? That is some low standards. Brown is an above average starter with great speed but he is not pipedream worthy lol _________________

After extending Wake, Branch, Jones, Kiko, Stills (Landry next?) the Dolphins seem to be setting themselves up to keep their core in place for several seasons.
The only significant 2018 FAs:
RT Ja'Wuan James
WR Jarvis Landry
DB/ST Michael Thomas _________________

I'm not sure James is that significant. I'm actually thinking RT along with DT could be 2018 draft priorities. We should surely be able to snag a good starting RT towards the end of Round One. |

Pipedream as in he's the best available FA LBer around so it's understandable that he's looking for a bigger deal than what we're offering. No one is saying he's a franchise altering player. _________________
