I think McDowell should have been an option in round 2.

Also Kenny Golladay for pick 254. Go watch my boy if you haven't.

I was going to take him with one of the picks I ended up trading for Jeremy Lane. There were just too many quality receivers left and I figured I could get one or two of them through UDFA

Wow I'm up for 2 awards.
Have to say I think Dainer did a great job with the Browns but I do think my draft class was one of the best.

I think you did a phenomenal job accumulating talent. My problem in looking at your depth chart is that it's hard to see a coherent plan and identity. JMO.

Biggest 6th or 7th Round Draft Steal
Jaguars - Devonte Fields, Edge
Giants - Marquel Lee, LB
Raiders - Nate Gerry, SS

Marquel Lee also fits the developmental label, but has starter upside. If he develops and improves his range a bit the Giants grabbed great value in the 7th with a future starter.

Spirit of the Mock Award
I don't quite understand this award, but off what I interpret either Mike is a slam dunk obvious for hosting it, or anyone outside of the Dallas first GM for trading all the picks and bailing after overpaying on trades.

Thanks Trojan for taking notice of my 7th round pick in Lee. Believe I landed some quality players throughout the draft, that fit the Giants scheme of things and Lee is definitely one of those players. Also thanks for the props for the spirit of the mock draft award.

Excluding the players I drafted I think there are some other great steals in draft.

Think may extending the options would enhance this aspect next year but good work on this development.

For anyone interested I posted an idea for next years awards in the suggestion thread
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=21411370#21411370

If for no reason at all but to see where the first 5 rounds graded out compared to how well they are doing in the league is worth it.

I'm open to whatever system can get us to 3 nominees to vote on. The awards council idea was difficult. I didn't get the response I was hoping for there to help decide nominees.

The idea of "awards" is inherently subjective (and I know you a big fan of objectivity Laughing ) Really this is all just meant to be a fun cap to a great mock. Take all results and nominations with a grain of salt.

lol....thats all i'm trying to do, when you sent me that questionnaire I had such a hard time filling it out because I felt that I was leaving a lot of gms off the block that should have been recognized for their efforts. Was thinking if we had a system such as what I suggested it would make our jobs a little easier in narrowing it down to the best three.

btw...your "TCM - make it great again" was awesome, perhaps just perhaps ffmd is taking notes, but more importantly the slogan is spot on in our case. It's our dedication and time throughout the year that makes this mock draft what it is. Each year we run it, we get more and more posters wanting to take part in it. Each year, we work to make the improvements that fit the system.
