It would make for a really, really interesting Seahawks draft if Sherman leaves. Surely they would draft a CB in the first or even try to move up from 26th?

Seahawks doing some plundering in the 2013 Draft class.

#2 Luke Joeckel
#3 Dion Jordan
#56 Arthur Brown
#61 Eddie Lacy
UDFA Bradley McDougald

Luckily, some of them pan out as solid depth.

As we know, the Hawks are back to turning over every stone to find athletic freaks.

Cyril Grayson hasn't played since H.S. ball in 2011 but showed off some skill at LSU's pro day where he ran a 4.33. Apparently, he ran solid routes with nice hands. Who knows? John and Pete are grabbing a lot of carbon, so let's hope some of it turns into monster carat Diamonds.

The only hold up I see is Lynch not being willing to pay for 3M or under. Seems like it is going to happen though

I forget who but one of the bigger guys out there said its going to be a short term deal with tons of incentives. So I wouldn't expect it to be a massive payday.

Lynch trade swap of 2018 picks, SEA gets OAK 5/OAK get SEA 6. Part of thinking is while Raiders still in Oakland, bring in a veryyyy popular Oakland-area dude

Eh Oakland's line is far superior to Seattle but I just see Lynch as done. He's been out of football for basically 2 years and he's 31... he also took so much abuse in Seattle on a lot of those runs.

As for Seattle, to get ANYTHING in return for Lynch is great. Yah it's a swap of a 6th and 5th but I'll take it.

If I was Oakland I'd be targeting a RB big time. If they are going in with Lynch as their ace in the hole, yikes!

Definitely. Best part of this is that we get to see Lynch play football, which is a treat. I'd have to say he's probably my 2nd favorite player to ever watch, after Michael Vick.

We just turned a 6th into a 5th for essentially nothing.

report: Falcons Discussing Trade Up With Seahawks For Pass Rusher

Quote:
Tony Pauline of DraftAnalyst.com reports that that the Falcons and Seahawks are discussing a potential trade that would involve them swapping first-round picks.

According to Pauline, the Falcons would like to get ahead of the Steelers, Packers, and Cowboys to ensure that theyíre able to come away with a top-rated pass rusher with Missouri DE Charles Harris being floated as a potential target for Atlanta.

If the Seahawks are able to trade back, Pauline mentions that they would then target an offensive lineman such as Utahís Garett Bolles. According to Pauline, the Seahawks sent OL coach Tom Cable to Utah last Sunday to meet with him.

As for what it could take to complete a deal, Pauline says that it may only cost the Falcons a fourth-round pick to move up to No. 26 overall from No. 31.

Recent reports have mentioned that the Falcons could be eyeing pass rushers and thereís no question that they may have to move up ahead of these teams to get their preferred option.

As for Seattle, they seem like a great landing spot for Bolles, who would give them a solid offensive line prospect to develop in the coming years and a potential long-term left tackle option, depending on how things go with Luke Joeckel.

Harris is a two-time second team All-SEC player for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. During the pre-draft process, Harris met with the Falcons, Jets and Eagles.

Over the course of his three-year college career it Missouri, he recorded 136 total tackles, 18 sacks, 34.5 tackles for loss, five pass defenses, one fumble recovery and five forced fumbles.

I wouldn't mind trading back to 31. I do think it is fun to know one of the possible trade options, but I am sure we have discussed trade down options with a lot of teams already and nothing will happen until pick 26 is OTC

One nice thing about being at pick 31 is that it would be a great spot for trading down if a team wants to grab a QB with a 5th year option. If for some reason we trade back to 31 and the Browns are willing to give up 33 and a 4th to hop up two spots to grab QB I'd be all about that.

It sounds good. Only 5 picks down but getting a 4th round pick too. I'm actually rooting for it to happen, an extra pick never hurts, and we're already full of picks this year, so drafting one more rookie only increases the chances of picking up a future great.
