Some reports that he may be 29 years of age and not 27 (shocker) and that he plans on asking Suh for FA advice.

Not sure how this one will play out but it does make me cringe a bit.

Why would he ask Suh...

Hopefully Suh tells him to get more than 2 sacks this year or he won't make much.

Suh only became the highest paid defensive player of all time.

That really isn't fair. Every year there are players that get paid quite a bit more than their production based on projection. Especially at a premium position.

Well, to be fair, If he puts up back to back 2 sack seasons, he will not attract much in free agency. He will likely be considered a one year wonder who was all hype and has not progressed. Not to say he wont get a 4-6 mil a year contract, but I think he can easily forget getting 15-20 a year. I know he dealt with some injuries last year, but he needs to have a big rebound year or he won't be considered a top flight free agent.

Yes I realize that, hence why I put the ellipsis...

THATS NOT GOOD

I wouldn't be surprised if Ansah gets franchise tagged and then walks away. I think that I might actually be fine with that, especially if he has just another "good" season.

If he really is 29, I don't see any way that he gets extended unless he takes a big discount. Quinn doesn't seem like the type of guy that is going to give a big deal to a guy that will be in his 30's when he hits free agency.

I think Suh, his family, every other NFL player, and their families, would disagree.

I wouldn't be shocked if he was older than he claimed to be. For a long time I've thought that Albert Pujols was a few years older than he claimed as well. Either way, hopefully Quinn is able to read the situation correctly and makes the right move when it comes time to decide on whether or not to extend him well into his 30's.

I wouldn't be shocked if he was older than what's been reported. Dude looks like he's in his thirties in the face.

The only stats I want from him are 16 games played and plenty of QB hits.
