You're amazed that a team that began the season 5-0 and looking like they were unbeatable, ended the season with 8 wins? If so, you're very easily amazed.

And yet you're calling that same team that "began the season 5-0 and looking like they were unbeatable" awful.

We saw that already last season at US Bank when the Vikings were good and then became awful.

Actually, I'm not easily amazed. I mean no offense to you, but to determine that the team gave up seems simplistic and not looking at the whole story. Rarely, in team sports, has there been an occasion when a team has prospered after losing so many starters to injury. Yet, I think the Vikings showed resilience through out the season. With the exception of the Colts game, I never felt the team was out of a game. So, with all the obstacles that befell them, the Vikings did well...which, to me, is amazing.

@InfraRen: Non-draft nugget: Source close to FA WR Michael Floyd tells me he’s weighing couple of offers, one being from #Vikings. Likes their chances

With the draft and free agency behind us, there’s no better time to check in on the landscape of general managers in the NFL. We’ve ranked them all based on draft picks, free agent signings and cap management. Let’s get to the rankings…

14. Vikings: Rick Spielman

There’s no denying that Spielman has done a fantastic job of adding young talent to the Vikings roster. But he’s also had his fair share of misses.

from the same article:

The Sam Bradford trade doesn’t look like a very good one nine months later. Laquon Treadwell, Trae Waynes and Matt Kahlil all look like botched first-round picks. And the offensive line is still a complete mess.

How does the Sam Bradford trade look bad?

I didn't quite understand that either, which is mainly why I left it out. It's actually nonsensical. The ranking is fair, but that comment doesn't make any sense.

This team wouldn't have won so many games early on if Hill was the long term starter. Easy top ten pick and we would have been forced to take a QB early or trade for cousins.

The argument that the trade wasn't worth it probably stems from the fact that MN missed the playoffs. Bradford shouldn't be seen as a one year investment, he can be the QB of the future (5 years).

Im not a fan of Sam and wouldnt be surprised to see him have a down year statistically. More likely, he'll be frustratingly average again (by his career arc)

Treadwell needs to win the #3 job or there are going to be serious questions about his future.

Trae needs to take that next step. I doubt he'll ever be as good as Marcus Peters, but all we need him to be is a good #2 CB.

Matt Kalil was an injury bust, even though he hasn't missed many games in his career.

Bold statement to say he'll regress from setting an NFL record.

The only stat I care about for Sam is the yards per attempt. Sam was fantastic for us in games where the YPA was at least 7 or higher. This is a defensive oriented team, he doesn't need to throw 30+ TDs for us to be successful. 1-2 TDs and no picks gives this team a good chance of winning.

The defense has struggled during stretches. We will need Bradford to be able to carry the team on occasion.

/sarcasm

I mean more so I could see him having bulk stat being something like 18 TDs and 10 INTs.

Might not be so bad considering I expect the offense overall to improve, even with a few more turnovers by the QB and a few less TD passes.
