Obviously just as a backup. He should make the team as the primary backup, though. His competition for the gig is Ryan Griffen, Sean Renfree, and rookie Sefo Liufau.

He could possibly also become a mentor to Jameis Winston, teaching him exactly how to hold out for a better contract before going completely inept.

Bringing in competition for Winston after adding Howard in the draft. Could be a make or break year for Jameis.

Missing the greatest backup QB in the NFL so much(Mike Glennon Crying or Very sad )

For those who don't know we offered this guy 8-10 million per year to be a career backup for us and he tore our heart out and left.

In fairness, you can't really blame him for wanting to try to be a starter somewhere. Considering that, the Bucs tore out his heart when they drafted Jameis.

I look forward to Jaboo getting injured for 2 months and Fitzpatrick looking just good enough to tread water but still suck enough to lose them key games.

Everywhere he goes he manages this.

Everyone is so focused on the Madden curse that Brady is going to have to contend with. Screw that, the Bucs just invoked the Ryan Fitzpatrick curse on Jameis Winston. Any hope the Bucs had this season just went out the window.

As long as Jameis doesn't do anything stupid off the field and they avoid major injuries, the bucs should be fine and contend for the no.2 spot in their divison.

Then again every time the bucs have looked to be on the rise this decade they fall flat on their faces, All in on the Fitztragic curse.

Fiitzpatrick should be a good backup QB for the Bucs. Maybe even some insurance in case Winston doesn't play that well or gets injured.

At least now it's probably an Escalade.

I was looking forward to Winstons growth as a QB. Shame. He's no match for Fitzpatrick come training camp.
