If he signs and is healthy, this would represent a dramatic upgrade to our linebacker unit.
I'm snake-bitten as a Lions fan, so I can't possibly see us actually landing a blue chip LB prospect in free agency like this. It's almost too good to be true.
With Orr and Davis, what was a critical weakness last season (a historically bad LB unit), is, at worst, a source of optimism. |

I think the Lions will thoroughly investigate his health. IF he is healthy enough to play and the Lions feel secure enough in him playing, he'd be a great addition to a rebuilding LB corps.
Zach Orr 25/Jalen Reeves-Maybin 22
Jarrad Davis 21/Antwione Williams 24
Tahir Whitehead 27/Paul Worrilow 27
That would be a HUGE turnaround in one offseason for Bob Quinn.

It would be amazing if they managed to sign him _________________

8 teams have already reached out to him. Might be difficult to get into a bidding war with our limited cap room. Staffford extension could help. _________________ Team Stylish

I'm going to admit that my knowledge of his retirement was ignorant. I was under the assumption that he had an injury to his neck and that was why he hung them up. But after watching some of the interview he's done, apparently this was a condition he's had since birth that has never affected him before. It's rare and so it's risky, but so far, it hasn't seemed to hinder him in the slightest way. I actually feel more confident in him signing with a team this season than I was previously. |

I don't see him signing here, sadly. _________________
