Quote: | Scouts questioned Mathis when he came out of college in 2003 because he played at Division 1-AA Bethune-Cookman. The Jaguears weren't sure what to do with him, initially putting him at safety before moving him to cornerback midway through his rookie season. But the Jacksonville native has blossemed and appears to be on the verge of stardom after tying for the team lead with five interceptions last season. Mathis, who is entrenched at left corner, is quick, physical enough to match up with taller recievers and strong in run support. |

Did I mention that he was drafted in the second round. Sound like anybody we all might know...? _________________

Here's to Nick following the same path in Green Bay to solidify our horrible situation at the 2nd Corner position!!!
Please, Jimmy Bates, make it happen!!! |

What's to say that Free Safety can't be "3rd" corner? |
