| He's a good prospect. Possible 1st round grade for a 4th round pick. He shut down Calvin Johnson. He's a hard worker, just not book smart. This DB crew should strike fear in into NE as well as the rest of the NFL. |

Doesn't matter what kind of "talent" they have, only the round they are selected in. Say a team takes a guy in the 3rd round, they give up their 3rd rounder in the next draft. I suppose they'll pay him 3rd round money too.

Christ Carter, Bernie Kosar, Jamal Williams (currently of the Chargers).

Oh, and i forgot the Boz
EDIT 2: Shoot, didn't realize you just meant academically inelligible. Umm, not sure who qualifies for that. |
Your right ever five years a decent football player comes out in the Supplemental Draft. Just goes to prove it's a bigger joke. |
Mike Wahle. Man, that guy was so cool when he was with the Packers. Prolly my favorite OL ever.
The Packers took him out of NAVY for a 2nd rounder in like 1998. _________________

Paul Oliver and Antonio Cromartie, are going to be one hell of a CB duo with the Chargers front 7 creating all that pressure! _________________

Don't athletes at UGA actually have to attend classes because of their basketball scandal a couple years ago? http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/quiz?event_id=600
It doesn't mean as much if he doesn't stay eligible because he actually has to have a full workload on top of football, when other players don't have to follow those same restrictions because someone hasn't put their school under the NCAA microscope. Not to say he shouldn't be able to do both, but it shouldn't reflect as negatively as some of you guys make it out to be. _________________

That is definently true....and becoming academically ineligable will only inspire him to play harder, so he can get the money later that he would have gotten if he stayed in school...it might be a couple of years, considering Jammer has a couple more years left on tenure, but it wouldn't surprise me if Cromartie, Weddle, and Oliver became one of the strongest secondaries in football. But for now, Oliver is the dime back _________________
