This is a great pickup for some team. | I personally think it may have been to early to cut him but they are set at S and he isnt a LB _________________

Well it shouldn't take long for him to get picked up. |

I can understand if he wasn't the right fit for their system, but if his boy Kiffin is laying down the hammer, there may have been more wrong than meets the eye. Still, he'll go somewhere, and be decent. I knew he was a good player out of college, and I was always surprised that he fell so far. _________________

| I remember watching the draft hoping that every Packer pick after their first rounder was Bing. I really liked him, I still really like him, and I hope the Packers sign him. |

| I've heard that his IQ, football and otherwise was very low. I don't like saying that kind of stuff about people, it's just what I've heard. It's a shame, I thought he could be a real steal. I still think someone will get at LEAST a good special teams player out of this. |

This is what makes the release a bit strange. You'd think at his age they would just use him on ST and see if he develops.
I think maybe there is more to this than we know. |

| Very true. What made it even more unexpected was Jarrod Coopers steroid suspension. I see Bing in alot the same mold as Cooper, and to see them both released at the same time was very strange. |

He realy didnt fit what the defense wants to do..and Kiffin being a USC guy and letting him go before Camp even opens speaks Volumes..
and Safety right now for the raiders are just to packed..
got Michael Huff,Donovin Darius,Colin Branch,Stuart Schweigert,B.J. Ward..and Rookie Eric Frampton..who is a hitter just like bing..so there wasnt much room for bing.. |

Perhaps Kiffin was being a gentleman, releasing him to catch on with another club, knowing his chances of playing for the Raiders was slim...
Love for the Broncos to pick him up, especially with Brandon about to be cut. Plus and interdivision rival might have a few inside tips, if ya know what I mean |

| Bing gets a lot of publicity because of his USC connection. He was a great college safety but never really found his position in Oakland. Someone will give him another chance during training camp to win a roster spot. Its tough not being fast enough to play safety and too small to play linebacker. He could fit into a Cover 2 scheme that employs smaller linebackers, the problem would be he doesnt have enough speed. |

He is the highest pick to be released from the 2006 draft, 101st overall. He was always an huge underachiever at USC. He had the physical tools to be play anywhere on the field, including RB. He might be a better fit somewhere else, but the fact that he was cut suprised me. It was probably to make cap space to sign Jamarcus Russell. _________________
