The plaindealer reports Cincy sent a trade proposal to cleveland that included a trade that would send P C.C. sabathia to cincy for Adam Dunn. _________________

I heard this report, and from what I heard, if they got offered this trade again, Cleveland would look really hard at it. So who knows, it would be a good deal for Cleveland, and for Cincinnati. _________________

The Indians would get their bat and cincy would get their pitcher. _________________

Are u kidding me? He's too inconsistent and is at best a #3 picher. U watch some Indian games and u will c C.C. chock in the middle of the game. _________________

agreed. C.C is a very streaky pitcher and therefore he isn't always the dominant pitcher that ppl think he is. _________________

I agree. Dunn will be a FA so Cleveland is doing Cincy a favor. They should get more out of the deal than just Dunn. |

| Cleveland doesn't need to do this trade. If they are going to trade Sabathia, they need to get a right-handed power bat. They have no power from the right side, and when lefties are on the hill against them, they struggle. Someone like Juan Encarnacion would be a better fit. |

I like Juan but I think the Marlins want alot for him. Shapiro wants somebody that bats right and has power, but whos available? These dayz teams want alot for one guy and Shapiro doesnt want to give up to much. The Indians do have the best minor league system in the league, but they dont want to give unseen talent unless those players arent planned for the future. _________________

This would be an OK trade for Cleveland if
A. They had any other consisten starting pitching on the big league roster
B. Dunn had a position in Cleveland...Dunn's a 1st baseman but Hafner is already there, unless you plan on full time DH'ing Dunn.
But Sabathia is still very young and overall I think this would be a bad trade for the Tribe. |

Cliff Lee of the gerat 1st half and awful second half last year???...I want to see him put together an entire season before calling him consistent. |

| C.C. is still only 23 years old....people tend to forget that since he's been in the majors for 4 years.no way the indians trade C.C. this year...now if by the end of next year he is still an up and down pitcher then maybe they will look to move him but no way he goes anywhere b4 the end of next year. Gotta let the kid mature a little more and he will be a stud IMO. He took a step in that direction this past off season when he finally took conditioning seriously now give him another year to work on the problem of maturity because thats the only thing holding him back right now. |

As much as I'd like to see C.C and his sloppy wearing uniform self leave Cleveland I dont think I'd wanna face Adum Dunn that many times a year. _________________
