| Quote: | | Responding to a request by the Minnesota Twins to expand a potential trade, the Red Sox are in discussions to acquire starting pitcher Joe Mays and reliever J.C. Romero for third baseman Bill Mueller and first baseman Kevin Millar, league sources said yesterday. According to sources, the Twins aren't as willing to part with Mays as they are Kyle Lohse. |

Mays is the former All-Star who is pitching pretty well right now. Lohse also is pitching well, but if we can get both Mueller and Millar it might very well be worth getting rid of one of them. Our bullpen is so deep too. _________________

That deal would probably be worth it. I would prefer to see Lohse go, but like mentioned both have been pitching pretty well as of late. Millar and Mueller would hopefully give us some more pop. However, I do think that Mourneau can come around. But then I guess Millar could DH and Mourneau could play first. I wonder if then we could be looking to move Jaque Jones as well since we would have Lew Ford sitting on the bench, and they always talk about Jones in trade possibilities. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

Why would we need Millar?
He's another first baseman when we have 2. Morneau and LeCroy. If you wanted to get technical about it, you could say that Cuddyer is also a 1st baseman too, as he plays every infield position _________________ Go Vikings!

If we get rid of Millar we get rid of a big mouth and then Oleroud gets to start... _________________

Yeah, Millar also has been awful offensively. The 5th/6th batter should not have 4 HR/33 RBIs. I don't know what his problem is, but he has been bad. |

| This would be a terrible trade for Minnesota. Our hitters will turn it around. We don't need those guys. |

I agree we shouldn't trade with Boston. _________________
