The Giants reduced the original fine of $514,000 that he had racked up over the summer to $200,000.

Personally, I think it's just stupid when players go on holdout. They're already making so much more money than everyone else, and yet they're so gready and they want more. It just takes my view of Strahan (and other players who have done it) way down. I know that not all holdouts are because of money, but still.. just get over it and play football. _________________

Well he is lucky that the Giants negotiated with him and reduced the fine or he would have to pay $500,000. _________________

| Well the Giants said if Strahan did show up to camp, the fines would have been greatly reduced, so this isn't a surprise. Good to see Stray back, I hope he's able to suit up in Dallas Sunday night. |

exactly. I am sure there are plenty of NFL players that would be willing to pay 200k in return they dont have to do training camp and pre-season. He made out like a bandit. |

I personally think it should be kept at $514,000. He clearly was a veteran who didnt want to show up to camp and for all intensive purposes, got what he deserved. I lost alot of respect for Starhan, I mean I realize hes older, but thats no excuse for me. _________________

The Giants lost this battle. They ended up giving him a $314,000 raise. _________________
