Well, we stop those two, we win. It's that simple.

I hope Cody's out there. Watchin that replay for last year's game vs Arkansas reminded me how poor our rushing defense was last season. Who are starting on our line? Greenwood and Deaderick? Washington? Motley?
Cody will probably be dead by the 4th quarter.

But I agree, if you stop CJ and JD, its over. Harper is extremely overrated. If you put 8 in the box, he might be able to make things happen. If you bait him, he will suck.

Hey, I'm a huge Andre Smith fan and would love to get my hands on a #71 Alabama Jersey.

Do any of you know whether they are available? Is there a place on the Net, or anywhere in AL (I don't live there)?

Good thread too!

So far I've only seen jerseys of #14 John Parker Wilson, #28 Javier Arenas, & #29 Terry Grant online. There's gotta be a site that customizes numbers on jerseys. If you find it let me know, cuz I want a #1 Burton Scott jersey.

I'm amped that true FR RB Mark Ingram is wearing #22 so now my DJ Hall jersey has a new face. Can't wait to see him get some burn too.

Yday there was a 4 hour College Football Live special on ESPN. Nick Saban was interviewed via phone and Lou Holtz asked a great question. Holtz said that even years after ND played LSU, he still can't figure out the defenses Saban threw at him. Then he asked how close Bama is to installing similar defensive schemes.

This is what I've been really curious about and was finally gonna get an answer from Coach himself!! Then Saban's cell was cutting out and they switched topics and teams...
Aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!! d'oh! Brick wall

So close to getting some juicy info... I was hoping to hear if Barron was getting the start at SS andf whether or not Jerrell Harris might start. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully, in the future they'll use landlines for these interviews!

Simply beautiful, 34-10, which should've been 34-3, but we had a blown KO coverage. All in all, a very very good win

Our true freshmen Young Gunz contributed big time! Mark Ingram is a beast and Julio did his thing. The scary thing is we didn't even need to open the offense up too much bcuz of our domination of the line of scrimmage.

That was a great time watching that beatdown! I told all the Clemson fans we'd turn "Thunder & Lightning" into "Fog & Drizzles of rain." Ha ha ha

Yep, it's only three Alabama fans on here as well, including me. Anyone that jumps on the bandwagon will be pushed off immediately

Hey guys, I know we will beat Tulane, Western Kentucky, and Arkansas (hopefully) so lets fast forward to week 5 at Georgia.I think they are really overrated and looking at our D against Clemson I think we can stop the Moreno and Stafford attack. What do yall think?

We really were physical last night. I believe that if we can remain that way come Week 5 against UGA, we may have another win and a big win at that. After last night, don't be surprised if we do pull out the win. I really liked the way we controlled the ball and the way we ran it. Right down their throats and the great thing about UGA is that they really don't have a WR that can just take over a game, so that's a plus in our column.

i loved how the clemson game played out. but don't think the DL will be able to dominate the georgia OL as easily as they did the young clemson OL. i'm gonna be torn between this game again like i was last year. i want the young bama team to prove they have a place at the top of the SEC, but at the same time, i want georgia to go all the way. i guess i'd be OK with a game that finishes like the one from last year.

Hey guys I'm a Saints fan and I know we are going to be in the market for a FS next year and I was wondering how Rashad Johnson looked against Clemson. I didn't get to catch the game and would love to know.

Slow down brother. We had a great opening game, but still have to go TO Athens, Baton Rouge, and Knoxville.

On a brighter nore, man Mt. Cody looked awesome. We finally have a true man bear pig at NT. I really hope he stays for 2 years. Also extremely pumped about the way Ingram ran the football. He is a little bowling ball of hate. All in all the team looked solid and I hope they can use the next 2 weeks to iron out the kinks. Then we can roll into Fayettville and stomp a mudhole in the Cowards butt!

ROLL TIDE

what a great dominating win on saturday night.
Terrance Cody is an absolute monster in the middle, if he continues to play great, then the Tide will continue to roll.
Also, Mark Ingram and Jerrell Harris sit behind me in my Mass Communications class.....awesome.

well that was a fun game last week

wasnt completely sure what to expect going into that game but it was complete domination outside of allowing a KR for a TD to start the 2nd half.

im not a bandwagoner, my moms side of the family pretty much all went to alabama, aside from one sister who went to auburn (though surprisingly she's the richest of everyone on that side of the family)

its gonna be hard to temper expectations though after that thrashing we gave to clemson, that game will probably do wonders for recruiting too

All the hype about spread offenses, we played good old fashioned smashmouth football. Aside from the couple deep attempts (had Maze open for TD), we didn't open up the offense too much. Didn't need to the way Ingram and Coffee were showing how it's done at RB.

Always thought Nick Walker was a huge weapon. Great game and clutch for JPW. I definitely have used him on EA's NCAA Football the last few years. Ha ha.

Saban had Clemson's linemen in a tractor beam. Watching the defense set and then bounce to another spot confusing them wondering who's blocking who reminded me of the schemes we threw at Miami in the Sugar Bowl. I love that Saban has the personnel to begin using these jedi schemes he used at LSU.

I'd like to see Burton Scott more involved. Maybe a snap at QB or lined up in a formation a la McFadden taking the snap. Agent Uno is the real deal fishscale. I wanna see what he can do in space.

Saturday night I had a blast.
