| I think that's a really stupid move. We shouldn't give up anything for a CB with so many free agents this year. |

The Raiders are in serious cap trouble, and there is no way they can keep Woodson for his franchise tag price.
They have to either move him or sign him ASAP.
I would be very disapointed to tie that much money up into our secondary.
Plus give up a first to do so.
If we are so willing to give up a first round pick for a player, than I would much rather try and trade #20 and Dat for John Abraham. He is younger, and much more of a rare athlete in this free agent market.
We can find a much cheaper yet serviceable CB like Anthony Henry.
If we do trade for Woodson, than that say's a lot about Newman. You never trade for a #1 CB when you feel you already have one. |

That would be very dumb. We would be so much better off signing one of the many FAs or even, if it came to it, drafting one of the many good corners in this years draft class. _________________

| Parcells said that he wasn't going to draft a CB in the first round and trading a first round pick for a CB is almost like drafting an experienced corner in the first round. Woodson has injury problems and his salary would be extremely high. This would be a stupid trade for Dallas. |

| Maybe not so much last year, but for about 2-3 year prior to that Woodson was the most overrated player in football. He is not worth all that money. I hear the phins are shopping Surtain, I would MUCH rather have him. I think Surtain is the 2nd best cover corner in football behind Champ. I'll keep my fingers crossed. |

| Thats about the most rediculous move I have heard yet. Woodson will be at least an average of 10 mil. a year for at least 5 years. Lucas or Henry is our best option. |

i think that's just somethin' a raiders fan dreamed up and posted in here as a good idea a few days ago, Raider84 i think. none of us seemed to think that's worth it so it's probably just not true _________________

It really would be a bad trade. Too many good FAs available, including Law whom Parcells has coached......
Why would we trade for an extremely overrated, extremely expensive CB, with the depth in the draft and FA pool this year.....

he's the most exspensive player out there. and for the number of plays he would give us especially on a healing foot no way dude i would rather keep the guys we have now than put law back there for 12 mil |

I completely agree. My point is - why would we deal for Woodson, when if Jones was going to overpay for a player, he could nab Law on the FA market and still not give up a lot. Dat Ngyuen and a 1st round pick is pretty hefty for a 10 million dollar CB that the Raiders never expected to sign in the first place. If Woodson needs to be traded before the Raiders can deal for Moss, we would be just doing them a huge favor.
GB - like I said, I completely agree. With Lucas, Baxter, Rolle, among others up for FA......there is no point in signing Woodson who relies on contact to much in coverage anyways. The guy was called for pass interference a ton before last year......its only going to be worse with the more enforced contact rules. _________________ There is a hero in us all
