This is what I believe the Vikings should do, with all of the cap space i dont see why it shouldnt happen.

Sign:
LB Ed Hartwell
WR Plexico Burress
CB Fred Smoot
TE Marcus Pollard
K Jay Feely
A few second-tier players like a WR (Taylor?), or S (Freeman?), or DL

Trades:
Michael Bennett to Arizona for a 2nd round pick
#7 and a 2nd round pick to Cleveland for the #3 pick

Draft:
#3-Derrick Johnson, LB, Texas-Hartwell, DJ, and Harris sounds like a good LB core to me.
#18-Erasmus James, DE, Wisconsin-allows us to kick Mixon to the curve
#49-Josh Bulocks, S, Nebraska-takes over for Russell and is a ballhawk
Then with the rest of the picks draft a WR, QB, OL, DB, DT, TE (not in any particular order).

Let me know what you think.

That would be a dream offseason...... but you have us getting no saftey and we could use better than Russel.... sure you have Josh Bulocksin the 2nd round, but how about with the 18th pick you get Thomas Davis if he is there, and then the 49th pick get Nugent the kicker from Ohio State

Yes, that is a dream. We don't need Pollard. Hartwell would be OK, but if we get him and then draft DJ, then we have 3 new LBs. Sounds OK, but then do we totally give up on EJ and Dontarrious? Plus that would probably eat up lots of cap room. Plax would be nice, as would Feely. I don't think that Bennet is worth a 2nd rounder, but crazier things have happened. Not bad, although I would prefer to see Thomas Davis at 18.

Yea Pollard would be a waste of cap space in my eyes... Wiggins is great and even if we fail to resign him, "The sauce" has been a good TE, but he was just hurt last year.

Heres a posibility,
CB Ty Law (Put him on the other side of Windfield, that would be
incredible. If not him go after Fred Smoot. Plain and simplely
a very solid player)
WR Plaxico Burress (Not because I really like him but he is the best thing
left out there right now. Thanks RED AKA DUMB A**
damm I hate that guy)
DE Reggie Hayward (He will be let go from Denver soon. Last year this
guy had 43 tackles and 10.5 sacks. Combine that
with the line we have now and we would have 1 of if
not the best D-line in the NFC)
S S. Knight (He's a very good solid player that can catch. Something our S
forgot how to do...and since I don't think Denver is gonna let
K. Kennedy go)
Since we let all of the Linebackers that I wanted go to other teams all ready I guess I will have to just move on.
Resign
TE Jermaine Wiggins (Nothin really needs to be said about how important
he was to Culpepper and with Moss gone we are
gonna need him even more...and to have Wigg and
J. Kleinsasser play together would be a good look.)
QB Gus Frerotte (A very solid back up to Culpepper that knows our
offense)
S W. Offord (Creates depth, and can play strong or free saftey)
G David Dixon (He said he will come back as a back up and we need that
to create depth. I wish we would have signed on of the
guards from GB. But I guess we will have to address this
in the draft)
I can't front and tell you that I watch alot of college ball so I not gonna fake it. But I can tell you that I have seen and love DB Carlos Rodgers.

The first part of my dream season would be actually spending some of this 31 million dollars they have, then it would be as follows:

CB: I would prefer Ty Law, but could easlily handle Smoot or Rolle or Dyson

S: Kennedy, Denver will be stupid and not keep this guy.

LB: Ed Hartwell, Pat williams addition already made that LB corp better, DJ would be great in the draft but no need to trade up for him.

DE: I like the line now, udeze, williams, willams, and Johnstone on passing downs, don't need to spend much more money here. and MrClean, reggie hayward was signed by JAX earlier this week but it would've been nice.

RB: Keep all of them!!

WR: I would not only like to see the addition of Plaxico but also drafting Mike Williams. Campbell is a stone-handed idiot and robinson worries me even though he has the potential to put up #'s like in chicago. Plax 1, williams 2, and burleson 3 sounds pretty good to me.

K; ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 60 THAT CAN MAKE A FIELD GOAL FROM MORE THAN 40 YARDS. Feely sounds good or draft soemone, just please don't pickup someone that is also collecting social security. Oh, they also need to be able to get the ball past the twenty on kickoffs. Hey cortez, head back to the fedex truck

OL: tackle wouldn't be a bad idea, not sure about rosenthal

They can get away with that and still have extra cap room for next year.
