I like the Broncos LB's and secondary vs the Steelers O-line and WR's.
Roethlisberger has been undisciplined at times, when required to hit his checkdowns, opting for plays downfield.
Mike Nolan plays an aggressive scheme, press on the outside, and blitz the A and B gaps with the Broncos fast LB's.
I think that, the Broncos D dominates this game, and win by two scores.
Broncos 23
Steelers 10 |
Well if Big Ben hasn't be using his checkdowns then why does the TEs and RBs have a combined 71 rec? _________________

I huge problem I noticed against BAL is we were getting to the QB and not finishing. If that happens this week against a even bigger QB we'll be in trouble.
Who ever said that if you guys stop the run you will win is correct. KO can not do it by himself. I only know one QB who can.
Our keys to victory is:
1) finish when we get to Big Ben.
2) NO! mistakes.
3) Get Pressure.
I think you guys have one of the most underrated Olines. Some of you guys may feel differently but there are plays where Big Ben has like 7 seconds to throw the ball. I don't think the big guys get enough credit for your sucess. _________________

The Steelers get 2 weeks to prepare for Denver... I think that is very important.
I respect Denver and think they have a very good young team. I think the only way they win this game is if the Steelers give it to them. I expect Lebeau to give the Denver offense all they can handle and I expect our offense to be how it was. |

Beg to differ, I'm aware of what takes place...in every Steelers game.
I'm also pessimistic in regards to the Steelers..therefore, predicting on pessimisms, luckily I have been mistaken on the Steelers this season.
I posted that, Roethlisberger has been undisciplined at times this season, which he has.
It will be difficult for Ben, to audible and set protections at Invesco. The atmosphere in that stadium will be electric and fierce.
The Broncos are outstanding in press and blitz, and at home will be most difficult, for any offense.
If Ben and the offense protect the ball, we have a chance to win a close game.
I just think that, the Broncos will generate a relentless blitz scheme, producing a few sacks and a couple turnovers.
Just my opinion. |

| We should win this one. We've had two weeks to prepare, were well rested, polomalu should come in to this one completely healthy. Our offense has looked good and our defense was pretty dominant in it's last game. I think we've gotten better each week and it should continue this week. And as someone posted earlier... Mikey t doesn't lose nationally televised games. Let's hope it continues! |

Lets also remember that Ben is 0-2 in Denver thus far in his career.
I personally think this is a good week to give Sweed another shot, if only on 4 WR sets. Him and Wallace can both get separtation and stretch the field. If anything, it could open up some stuff underneath, which may be our best bet if we cant run the ball effectively. _________________

Damn...I forgot bout that.
And I thought his 2 regular season losses were in Denver.
Either way, this game is far from a gimme. _________________

Kyle Orton cannot throw downfield at all. Stop the run, make Orton beat you. I don't think he can.
Starks vs. Dumervil should be fun. Same with Clady and Harrison |

NO game is a gimme
The Broncos have to play a near perfect game to win IMO.
Jared Allen is a decent player...Starks did ok against Allen.
I understand the crowd noise of Denver...I expect 15-20K Steelers fans to attend the game. Steelers Mafia claims 25-30K Steelers fans are expected at the game...I find that hard to believe...I have to admit I had my doubts about their 500K membership until it was proved.
Denver public relations admitted the quickest selling tickets they had this season was the Steelers game.
Radio stations have giveaways for the game...Can only collect if your a Broncos fan.
If the Steelers fans drown out the Broncos fans are MNF...Wow _________________

I think the fact that they played Baltimore really helped us.
There defensive success/failures were something LeBeau surely looked into.
with a defense in Baltimore's that is similar to ours, it makes it easier to analyze the keys to success, and the neccesary adjustments needed in order to win _________________

Another concern,
The Broncos offense working on a short field all evening.
Again, I think the Broncos D vs the Steelers offense dictates the outcome of this game.
How well does the Steeler O-line handle the Broncos press, multiple blitz scheme?
Will the Steelers counter with a commitment to run the ball?
Will Roethlisberger recognize the blitz and when he does, will he be able to communicate adjustments in protections and hot reads?
Larry Timmons vs Toney 'TNT' Scheffler will be a fine matchup to watch. |
