some ideas for the draft and FA this is tough considering its impossible to know where were gonna be in the draft at this point it could end up bein top 15 lol
1. Dez Bryant oklahome St. WR
i know you guys are probably like yea right hes not gonna be there. well if we end up with a low pick he can be there considering he is done for the year became he was talking to nfl teams he wa suspended this year and with hixon leaving he can be a great move.
2. Brandon Spikes ILB Florida
this dude is a straight up monster he can replace the aging pierce
3 Brian Price, DT, UCLA
Barry Cofield and Fred Robbins will both be hitting free agency after this season. If they leave, defensive tackle becomes a big need. Brian Price, who may be one of many underclassmen to declare early because of a potential rookie pay scale, already has 11.5 TFL and four sacks this year.
4. Trevard Lindley CB kentucky
in a nut shell our secondary needs help and he brings top of the line talent even though tackling needs to be worked on but coverage skills are great
5. Jermaine Gresham Oklahoma TE
even though hes senior is done because of injury he will be 100% healthy for camp and he can be a great receiving target. he can create huge mis matches and could complete our offense
6. a Safety not sure who because the only really standout ones are Taylor mays and
Eric berry we will see who else comes up on draft boards
FREE AGENCY ....this will be good
1.WR BRANDON MARSHALL ...we would be dominate and everyone knows he wont be resigned manning will finally have that young big target for years to come
2. WR miles ausin..for a cheaper price we can talk away a rising star in dallas chances are he will be resigned tho
3. LB Shawn Merriman
young and is starting to come on this year he is a great player and can be a dominate force against the pass and run
4. LB DeMaco Ryan
he has lead the nfl in tackles before and makes big plays and if we signed him he would probably be our only signing considering he would cost a lot but a player this young with this much talent im willing to do it
5. LB Thomas Howard
a lot like boley has great speed and can cover anyone in the pass and isnt great against the run but he makes big plays
6. S OJ Atogwe
most underrated safety in the nfl hes a player maker and a ball hawk
7. S Nick Collins
not that great against the run but makes plays against WR and TEs which is what we need............CC Brown
8. CB Duante Robinson
we need speed at corner bad TT isnt fast and should be a safety and we would have a great CB combo in webster robinson and ross
9. CB Carlos Rodgers
take away a good young corner from the skins and have him develop nicely in blue
THOUGHTS?? and obviously there not gonna sign all these guys maybe just one or 2 |

Most of those guys aren't UFAs this offseason, unless a CBA is agreed on similar to the one installed right now.
| Quote: | | Players must accrue SIX seasons. Currently, players must accrue only four seasons before they can enter the market as an unrestricted free agent. So what is the change? Players will have to accrue six full seasons before having the ability to enter unrestricted free agency. For example, many players drafted in the second round or later in the 2006 draft are scheduled to be unrestricted free agents under a 2010 capped season, having signed four-year rookie deals. If a new CBA is not agreed upon and the 2010 season becomes uncapped, free agents-to-be such as Marcus McNeill, DeMeco Ryans, and Thomas Howard, will not have accrued six seasons and will therefore qualify as Restricted Free Agents. The Restricted Free Agents pool will consist of all players who have accrued three, four, or five years and have expiring contracts |
A majority of the players you listed would be RFAs. Although at this point I wouldn't mind giving up a pick for Nick Collins right now.

EDIT: But I wouldn't mind us drafting Brandon Spikes. _________________

Even though I'm not happy with our WR situation now, there is no way we can spend another high pick on a WR after picking two in the 1st 2 rounds last year.
If we get another wr, it has to be through Free Agency. We should of gotten Braylon, now I have to watch him every week in our stadium but on the wrong team...
Theres a couple good LB's available in free agency, McIntosh, Derrick Johnson and Demarco Ryans.
I haven't followed the draft that hard yet, but we definitely need to get a DT, Safety, or LB early...... I'm in love with Terrence Cody and Rolando McClain. |

I think running back may be a need soon. Jacobs hasnt looked good this entire year, every time i see him get to the line and stop running i want to just explode. Brown is coming of knee surgery (I think). Im not a fan of going into next year with Bradshaw, Ware, and Johnson as our top guys. Id like to see us draft a rb in the first couple of rounds.
I dont think we need another WR. Smith and Nicks should both be starting next year. Manningham is fine as the third (with Smith moving to slot when he comes in.) And Ramses is still developing. _________________

I highly doubt you guys go WR next year in the draft.. perhaps a situational role guy in FA, but def not draft. You're set with Smith/Nicks, and having Manningham/Hixon as your 3rd/4th is pretty good. _________________

We are set at WR... we just might pick up a cheap vet for insurance. Our top three guys are fine, and I'm hoping that next year Barden will see the field.
We need to replace Pierce. He is a huge liability and I would love to draft Spikes or pick up Derrick Johnson, Demeco Ryans, or Karlos Dansby, but I highly doubt we get any of them... even with no salary cap.
We need a young DT from the draft. I prefer Terrance Cody. The guy is massive and will make our LBs jobs easier on run downs. All of our DTs are rather small especially if next year we start Canty who will spend a lot of time getting penetration.
At Safety we need a reliable back up for Kenny Phillips. We could improve on Michael Johnson but I think we was playing good enough when Phillips was beside him. Whether its a high draft pick or an established vet, we need help... o and next year lets keep 4 instead of 3? thanks. _________________

Not 'trying to start', but I agree. Pierce sucks.. I've always thought he was over-rated, but nonetheless, he's reaaaally sucked these last 2 years. _________________
