Well, I have seen a few mocks around here lately, so I gues I will give one a shot.
I will be doing nothing but the draft. For this, I am going to assume that we resign our main FAs this season (Howard or Morrison, Seymour, etc...)

Round 1- Rolando McClain, Linebacker, Alabama

McClain is such a stud. He is the best LB prospect since Patrick Willis. He is 6'4 and weighs in at about 260, and runs in the 4.6s. He has tremendous instincts, reads plays very well, and has great strength to shred blocks. He is a big hitter and a true thumper.

Round 2- Jeff Linkenbach, Offensive Tackle, Cincinnati

Jeff Linkenbach is a rising star. He is 6'6 and weighs 315. He has played VERY well this year for the Bearcats. He could come in and play RT for us and has star potential.

Round 3- Dan Williams, Defensive Tackle, Tennessee

Williams comes in and gives us a solid rotation at NT. He has played very well this year for the Volunteers. He is one of the better 4-3 NT in the draft.

Round 3 (from Pats)- Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, Cornerback, Indiana (PA)

Al is guaranteed to draft a DB this draft, and it is very likely that it will be a CB.. Small school DB prospect.. Should run about a 4.4-4.45 40 and is 6'1, 200 lbs.. He would be a development prospect, but has huge upside.. Plus, not to many CB's are expected to come in and start right away. He eventually replaces CJ or Nnamdi.

Round 4-

He is about 6'3, 315. A pretty solid prospect. There are at least 5 guards ahead of him, so him being available in the 4th is very realistic. Cooper is getting up there in age and needs a replacement, and Sergio can be that.

Round 5- John Skelton, Quarterback, Fordham

Developmental QB with big upside. 6'5, 255. Has a very strong arm but he is a small school prospect. He has similar issues to Russell, but Al seems to like that. Maybe he has better work ethic, who knows. He has too much upside to pass on.

Round 7- David Gettis, Wide Receiver, Baylor

6'4, 215, mid 4.4 40.. Height, Weight, Speed.. Our WRs still suck.

Rip it up!

I gotta say, you addressed a few needs...but I just don't see any way for you guys to justify taking a linebacker (assuming you do, in fact, re-sign Morrison & Howard) in round one when you have much bigger needs on the O-line, at QB and DT. If I were you guys, I'd target Ndamukong Suh or Gerald McCoy with your first pick, then change the 3rd round pick to a 2nd tier OG prospect like Jon Asomoah (sp?) instead of Williams.

Not only would that give you much better value, but it'd more appropriately fill your needs as well.

But, then again, Taylor Mays will likely be ranked #1 on Al's big board come April anyway, so yeah...

Raiders will have a to 10 pick Al will never draft a LB with a top 10 pick.

OL/DL most likely will be the pick unless he drafts a CB/S

Nice draft. I haven't heard of that OT, can you tell me some more about him? Ro would be an excellent pick for a franchise that can't seem to get a rookie to make a impact inside round 1.

I understand why you would bring him up but S, and especially SS, looks like our deepest unit. We have a rookie 2nd rd pick who's not seeing much playing time because the starter is playing very well. And that starter is a 2nd year player. Then we have Huff finally playing up to his draft status at FS. There's no need for a S and i hope Al realizes that too.

Isn't Huff's contract about to expire, though? I don't know about you guys, but I see Al falling in love with Mays as a prospect because he not only has great speed and can hit someone, but he's a better wrap up tackler than Huff is IMO. If Huff can yield decent compensation (maybe a starter on the O-line?), I can see him being shipped off to the highest bidder and Al laughing on his way home after grabbing Mays in the draft. Just a thought.

The majority of the non-Raider Nation wants us to pick Mays so this downward spiral at our expenses continues. I think we will find another prospect worth the investment, but then again I am a Raider fan.

Despite Mays Al Davis-esque credentials, he will not be drafted by Oakland. It's the cliche (humor) pick everyone loves to mock the Raiders for, but he is not a need. Branch is as solid as they come at SS. Mitchell has been growing weekly behind him, Eugene is in the fold and we have a few developmental players behind them. The most attractive is Boyd, a converted LB from Oregon State.

I wouldn't put it past Davis to snag the fastest most athletic CB in the draft however. Raiders are thin at that position.

Boss . . . . Nice draft. Davis hasn't drafted a LB since Nap Harris and it will depend on the resigning of Morrison. Personally, I love the pick because we need teeth inside against the run.

Second round pick I like. Not a lot of casual fans know about Linkenbach, but the guy is legit. He is a 6'6 320 pound reason the Cincy offense moves so well. He keeps the QB clean. Upside is immense for this kid. My guess is however, he doesn't show in the 2nd without a solid combine. But drafting Tackles in the NFL is the trend.

John Skelton is an interesting choice. Upside sure, but the Raiders really need THAT guy right now. A long shot, but I want to see a QB early in the draft who can make an impact sooner than later. Who keeps the seat warm for a project pick and please don't tell me Russell!

I think you're right about LB, I hope we get Derrick Johnson in FA, not to be spiteful but because the dude's a beast. It also would be cool to have Romanowski 2.0 vs the Chiefs though Cool

This draft is mighty fine, McClains the total package. He's big, quick, strong, and most importantly smart. His pre-snap adjustments done to keep his defense in check with opposing offenses shows his feel for the game. I really want him in a sliver & black uniform, but it seems more like a dream with Old Man Davis in charge of things.

I also digg the Dan Williams pick, but my gut tells me his stock will be worth more come draft day. He's my second rated NT in this entire draft.

Couldn't read past the 1st round pick, terrible. A MLB in the top 10 is not good value imo.
