The top three places I think we need help at next year are...
#1 Tight end. Our tight ends need a lot of help. Foshi could be a decent back up with Coffman as a starter. If we could get the TE from Oklahoma in the 1st round our TE would be solid.
#2 Safety. Williams (on a one year deal) has been hurt most of the season and after Crocker and Ndukwe we have no one.
#3 DT. Johnson foot is hurt (on a one year deal also) and while Sims and Peko have been good we still need another good DT to help out. _________________

| I don't know that safety is a huge need. Williams has played well when in there, but his health is questionable. I think we bring him back to go with Crocker, Ndukwe and Herbert. That gives us decent starters as well as flexibility to draft a safety if they are bpa. I would not stress if we didn't take any though. I think drafting a TE is a given, and another DT would be great, although I would love to get Richard Seymour in the offseason. |

I think this is a great year for TE's so we may not even need to use a first. A lot of people have Dennis Pitta out of BYU going in like the 4th so I think we should get him. _________________ Bengals Pro Bowl Watch

Can he block? If he can't then we'll be in the same situation next waiting for a potentially good TE to get up to speed. _________________ Chad OchoCinco on Eric Ghiaciuc calling him a distraction.--"Ghiaciuc's play was a distraction. Of all people to call me that." |

Pitta is not a good blocker. He rarely shows anything in that regard. Not that quick, and undersized.
If we want a TE Anthony McCoy (USC) is the guy. We'll probably have to take him round one, but he's a complete TE. Comes from a pro-style offense, a good blocker, and does a good job separating. Nice hands, decent speed. He's not a game changing receiver, but he's above average in that regard.
If we don't go McCoy we need Colin Peek out of Alabama. He's got great hands, and lacks speed yes, but he's a really good blocker. We could get him late second, maybe third if he falls. |

| I really do not like the idea of going TE in round one, although I concede it is possible, I also definitely think it is important to address corner early. I'm starting to want a safety more. We are in good shape at strong, but only have Crocker at free. I'm not really crazy about him, but I do like him well enough to look other directions that I think are bigger needs. |

I'm delightfully surprized in Trent's play this year. I thought he made the highlight reel too much at Mich for giving up the big play but he's stepped up in my eyes enough that a third corner isn't as much of a first day need as i thought early in the year.
My vote for first day is two picks for the D's front 7, or a safety. They're close to being stellar, just a stud or two to be in the same talk w the Ravens and Squealers. |

I kind of agree. I would like to see a few early picks on defensive linemen or linebackers. The defense starts with the front 7. A great front 7 makes an average secondary look amazing. _________________ The saying is "I couldn't care less". If you could care less, then why bother to tell me? |

| I'd like to see two defensive playmakers and a TE with the first 3 picks. |

I highly doubt we go TE. Remember we still have Utecht and Kelly on the roster. Once they are healthy they will be our starters. With those 2, Coffman, Foschi and Coats, I doubt the organization thinks TE is a need.
I want to see a corner and a safety round 1 and 2. Maybe a SAM or DT in the 3rd depending on Tank Johnson leaving. _________________

| Reggie Kelly is probably done. Utecht is a never was. THey tried to trade the first for Bennett, I think they want a TE, although I wont be heartbroken if we don't. |

| As this year has shown a superstar TE isn't needed but i would love to see it. |

| So the Giants proved you can never have too many D linemen. But the only ones that should be available are Odrick Turner and Corey Wooten. So what do we do? |

They will be the only ones left in the 1st round? _________________
