| Not that impressive, Cedric Benson is the best back in the draft, he has been overshadowed by cadillac and ronnie because he didn't work out at the combine. |

Most of the tackles he broke there wont be breakabe at th nfl level
And he is doing that on fresh legs because of Williams, a luxary he wont have in the nfl. _________________

Very true. If Williams and Edwards are gone, go Cedric Benson, he was very successful in all 4 of his college years. |

Plus Benson is a td machine, and we tend to stall near the goaline. We could really use a battering ram like him. _________________

Goal line thing will get worse without moss to run the flare.
Benson would be a better pick, just thought you would all like to see a reel. _________________

I don't see how it would happen, but if Benson and both the LB's were at number seven who would you take? _________________

First off, I would rather Barron for reasons I have explained before than Benson. Of course, this scenrio would mean that Mike Williams would have already been taken off the board.
But, I would take Barron above all of them in this type. Of course I will probly write contricting statements toomrow, but heres why.
1.We are now pimped up and primed for whooping people at the linebacker postion, some people will move around, but in a 4-3, the changes arent to hard.
2.Good OT make good runningbacks, even if they are not talented(See the whole Baltimore running game)
3.A good running game makes for a good passing game.
Those are my reasons, and as for tonight I am sticking to them, but being a vikes fan in this draft means your opinion changes daily. _________________

| I like your comments Andrew91. I would love to see the Vikes draft Barron. But, then I'd like to see the Vikes draft about a half dozen players. Why oh why can't we just have them all? |

Yeah, it is frustrating that we can only pick two..and only one top prospect... _________________

Are you talking about Alex Barron, the left tackle???
Seriously, they have Bryant Mckinnie already... and Barron is a LEFT tackle, NOT a right. (I know you say "well move one of them" but when it comes to tackles its rarely that simple)
Barron is, from most of what you can read on him, a VERY good pass blocker at LT, but not as strong of a run blocker (the words I've seen from the NFL analysts were "average run blocker")
Hes just not worth the Vikings burning the #7 pick on, when they have a pretty good O-line already... and with Kliensasser coming back now, that will hugely improve the run game.
It just doesnt make sense to me. _________________
