How does that sound. It seems better to me. Johnson has potential. _________________ POINT PROVEN!!!! |

Why bother?
Give up the #2 for Surtain and call it a day. Why move all the way up to #2, pay a huge salary, for a player you don't need? They can get Derrick Johnson lower and for a cheaper price than #2. And in the process they keep their insurance for Holmes.
Sometimes the simple deal is the best way to go. Trying to expand on it only clouds things up and messes with the cap issues too much. |

In what world would Saban and the Dolphins accept that offer?
Surtain for Johnson straight up would be ok. _________________ FINS OFFSEASON
Trade Surtain for James
1st round - Derrick Johnson OLB
3rd round - Jason Campbell QB |

| Since Blaylock signed in New York to back up C-Mart, LJ is Priest's only backup. There is no way KC is trading him. |

Sometimes the simple deal is the best way to go. Trying to expand on it only clouds things up and messes with the cap issues too much. | They still need a playmaking WR. Johnnies Morton is getting old and is only a mariginal player anyways, Eddie Kennison had probably the best season of his career last season but has never been considered to be a great receiver, Dante Hall is a playmaker but doesn't peform that well as a WR, Marc Boerigter isn't even a #2 WR and has injury concerns, and Sammie Parker could be suprising but is still inexperienced in the NFL. So Mike Williams or Braylon Edwards would be great for KC at #2 especially if they aquire Surtain a CB their biggest need and they don't need a OLB now that they resigned Fujita. Larry Johnson was said to be unhappy last season. I do know Johnson is Holmes' only backup but it's not like KC couldn't draft a RB in one of the deepest drafts in history at that postion. Hmmm, or maybe I'm being sarcastic. _________________ POINT PROVEN!!!! |
