QBs

Matt Schaub- resigns with Atlanta
David Carr- still stays with Houton and starts
Tim Rattay- resigns with Tampa Bay
Jeff Garcia- resigns with Philly
Aaron Brooks - Cut by the Raiders

Damon Huard- signs with Jacksonville after Byron Leftwich is traded to the Raiders

Byron Leftwich - Traded to the raiders for Randy Moss

RBs

Michael Turner is signed by the Detroit Lions and the Lions give up a 2nd rounder for him.

Ahman Green gets signed by the Buffalo Bills to spell Willis McGahee

As much as i'd like the Colts to resigns Dominic Rhodes it's just not reasonable. He'll get signed by the Jets

WRs

Keenan McCardell - resigns with Chargers

Yes Donte Stallworth will end up in Tennessee and here's why. 1 - Tennessee is $36 Million under the cap and they need a standout WR. Philly is only $12.4 Million under. Donte went to college at Tennessee so i figured that he wouldn't mind coming back and playing with an up-and-coming star in Vince Young.

Randy Moss Gets Traded to the Jags for Byron Leftwich

Jerry Porter gets traded to the Browns for a 3rd round pick

Drew Bennett - signs with the Raiders

OL

Will Shields - retires
Leonard Davis - resigns with the Cardinals
Mike Gandy - resigns with the Bills

DL

Dwight Freeney - Signs a long-term extension with the Colts
Jared Allen - signs a long-term extension with the Cheifs
Justin Smith - resigns with the Bengals

Simeon Rice - gets cut to save cap room signs with Dallas

LBs

Lance Briggs - gets tagged by the Bears
Cato June - resigns with the Colts
London Fletcher-Baker - resigns with the Bills

Lavar Arrington- signs with the Saints

Adalius Thomas - signs with the 49ers

DBs

Nate Clements - resigns with Buffalo or gets tagged by Buffalo (he's not leaving)
Ken Hamlin - resigns with Seattle

^^ your right that's a bad spot for Hamlin the Rams have some good safeties..

Asante Samuel - signs with the Browns Rolling Eyes no way the pats let him leave w/o tagging him though...

Jason David - signs with the Vikings

Nick Harper - signs with the 49ers

2007 NFL Draft

2007 - NFL Draft

1.
It's hard to pass up on Russell in my opinion, but Calvin Johnson makes it a little bit easier
http://www.footballsfuture.com/news/2007/02/calvin-johnson-runs-433-in-40.html
^^^ Oh and here's just one more reason why he'll be #1 overall ^^^

2.

With Prospects like Brohm, Henne, Brennan, JD Booty, and Erik Ainge why go QB this year?

3.
They wanted him and they got him.

4.
Rice is gone so they take the best DE in the draft

5.
They really want Joe Thomas to fall to 5th, but the Lions are
almost a lock to draft him so help out your DL ....
They have to go against Alexander, Jackson, and Gore 2 times a year
YES THEY DO NEED A DL STUD ... Rolling Eyes

6.
Philip Daniels is getting up there in years they need a young DL stud.

7.
They would love, and I would love them, to get Calvin Johnson but things just didn't work out.. so they take the second best WR ...

8.

I'm SOOO tempted to say that the Texans pick Brady Quinn or Russell here, but if Jake the snake Plummer is your furture then so be it.
Your safeties are Glenn Earl and C.C. Brown... you need a saftey here.

9.
With questions around Culpepper and your backup being Joey Harrington why not take the top QB in the draft...

10.
Do i even need to explain myself here? great pick to help the defense.

11.
With gaines and jamaal gone i think the 49ers look to give alex smith
another weapon.

12.
with McGahee and Green at RB why not help out the OL?
Plus they drafted John McCargo last year in the first round and I don't
see them drafting a DT 2 years in a row. (okoye)

13.
Leonard Little is constantly getting doubled and La'Roi Glover
is turning 33 this year... why not get an absolute stud at DT.

14.
Delhomme will be 33 and Weinke will be 35 so they go get themselves a
future QB and a top 10 QB in that...

15.
I don't think they need a DB so they get a DE ...

16.
After losing Ahman Green the Packers help Farve out with a RB

17.
Damon Huard helps out with the QB issue in Jacksonville.. they need
a WR, but how do you pass up some of the LB talent?
Meachem, Bowe, Davis, Rice, or Gonzalez will be available in the
2nd round.

18. [img]http://www.la.gg/upl/Patrick_Willis.jpg[/]
They need a run stuffing DL but none are available so get the best
run stopping LB in the draft instead.

19.
Travis LaBoy is your starting DE opposite of Vanden Bosch? get a DE to help you out...

20.
They'll play woodley at OLB and he'll be a big help to their run defense

21.
They need a new DB after the sad death of Darrent Williams....

22.
Wade Phillips will help the Defense in the passing game
with one of the best cover corners left in the draft.

23.
They lost Huard, but they still have Croyle... They'll go DL because
Herm Edwards is a defense coach, and the middle of their DL is nothing
special.

24.
Best WR still left

25.
Kimo Von Oelhoffen is entering his 14th season ... Best DL left

26.
Yeah they have other needs, but they'll replace Stallworth here..

27.
They helped themselves out at LB with Arrington so they go DB here..

28.
They go a WR with Rice and now they go with a Inside LB

29.
The heir apparent to Jamal Lewis...

30.
They need a WR

31.
FINE! I still think they need a pass catching TE Rolling Eyes

32.
DBs - Sanders, Bethea, Jackson, Hayden
LBs - June, Brackett, Alexander
DL - Freeney, McFarland, Reagor, Mathis

That's a solid defense Twisted Evil if we cut Simon and Stokley we may be able to keep Harper too Smile then it'd be real nice Very Happy

Lemme know what ya'll think ...

Arrington would look great in a Steeler uniform. Plus, Pittsburgh is his hometown. If he's healthy and the Steelers want him, I think he picks Pittsburgh over New Orleans.

Quote:
Jeff Garcia- resigns with Philly

I'm a big Philly fan and this won't happen. They are a little tight cap wise and there are too many teams looking for a good QB (MIN???)
Quote:
Byron Leftwich - Traded to the raiders for Randy Moss

I like it. Haven't seen it before. Would be a good move for both teams and both players.
Quote:

Very good. Kevin who???
Quote:

Jets need a grinder. I really think Turner could end up here.

Good pick. I'm thinking Stallworth is gone and this appears to be a logical spot.

Where does he go???
Quote:
Cato June - resigns with the Colts
I don't think they can resign both Freeney and June.
Quote:

Achilies was ruptured. I think if you factor in the knee injuries he might call it quits. Nate Clements - resigns with Buffalo
Quote:
Asante Samuel - gets tagged by the Pats
I think there are only two players the Pats will tag. That is Seymor or Brady. I'm thinking he is gone.
Quote:
Ken Hamlin - signs with the Rams
Seattle fans would rather stab their own eye with a fork. Hamlin should be franchised.
Quote:
Nick Harper - signs with the 49ers
With so much cash I think they can do better than this.

Matt Schaub- resigns with Atlanta and starts over Mike Vick

He won't start over Vick. Petrino even said that Vick is the starter.

14 New Orleans Saints $26 M
30 Pittsburgh Steelers $1.44 M

^ doubt he'll play for less cash Razz

5 Cleveland Browns $33.305 M

^ yeah your right about that, but who really wants to go to Cleveland? Laughing i just didn't think anybody would want to go to them Razz

Cato June - resigns with the Colts
I don't think they can resign both Freeney and June.

And for Rice I haven't decided to where he could end up ... just figured he'd get cut... I'm thinking maybe Dallas would want to pay the price for him, but he's 32 years old and will want A LOT of money to play soo it'll be interesting to see if he would get picked up...

They will be able to when they get about $8 million from peyton by changing his roster bonus to a signing bonus. They may get more if the do the same thing with Marvin I believe.... and if they sign freeney to a long term contract they'll be able to have more cap room.

Yeah Petrino says Vick will start, but when Vick does terrible yet again I wouldn't be suprised to see Schaub start a few games here and there ... Wink

and as for the draft part read up at the top i'll be working on it later tonight if i'm feeling better Razz

The first line killed any chance of a good offseason. It was Vick vs. Mora and who's still there. Vick won, they got a guy who will back Vick up. This could be a topic if Mora was still there but it's over, that comment is 2 months late.

Arrington isn't a Payton type player...I doubt the Saints would sign him.
