I was just wondering what some Saint fans thought when Brown was drafted at pick 13. Were you happy that he was the guy? Were you upset? If you would have picked someone else, whom would it have been? I am going to post one of these in every forum for their team's first pick and see what I get. I'm going to use these for something later on.

Didn't like the pick. I'm not slamming you for trading up, because if he's the guy you want, you take him, no matter what. I do think that he will have a hard time ajusting to the NFL, and his pass protection is fringe. He is a mauler in the run, but won't be a graet tackle. I also dislike that he played right tackle. If you decide to switch him, he will have a very hard time because you need to be a great pass protector for left tackle. I would have taken Barron.

I like the pick, he will stay a RT, aand he will start this year. He shouldn't have trouble adjusting because he will never be anything but a RT. I think the trade up was very good, we would have had no shot at him because Carolina would have stolen him from us, I hear a lot of people say we should have taken DJ, but he doesn't really fit the scheme with Haz, because he doesn't get off blocks and isn't great at rushing the passer, which our LBs need the ability to do somewhat.

Was at first upset we got him but after thinking about it, i'm very happy. Our RT last year, Victor Riley, had too many false starts that hindered the offenses performance and he didnt play well either. Brown will help out with the running game immensely. Deuce McCallister was happy about the pick and called Haz up two minutes after Brown was picked and thanked him. So thats obviously a good sign when our stud RB thinks we need an upgrade at OL. Brown didnt give up a sack or QB hurry last year. He's going to be a good one.

Jammal Brown was the #1 rated Tackle in this years draft and at #13, he was a steal, especially knowing we only gave up our #1 and next years #3.

I think we'll get our third round pick next year back some how. We always seem to be getting extra draft picks. I think we'll trade down next year and pick it back up.
