If the recievers in the ATL have figured out how to catch then Joey should be a solid QB and might turn a few heads. _________________

Umm, no. Joey Harrington sucks and he had Roy Williams and Chris Chambers to work with and he still sucked. He is a flat out bust and people need to stop hoping that somehow he'll live up to his 1st round status. If he has sucked his whole career, what makes you think he'll be "solid" all of a sudden?
The Falcons definetly need a new quarterback. Maybe not this year, but at the very least they need to take a shot at Brohm next year. _________________

It would seem to make sense that the Falcons sign Culpepper, but I'm not too sure that will happen. The Jags seemed very content with the idea to add Pep, and I'm sure we will be hearing soon that they have added him to the team.
As for the Falcon's QB, I dunno how Harrington will fare this year as the starter. My guess is that he will be decent, but the Falcons won't win as many games as they should. I think they will have a strong chance of nabbing Brian Brohm in next year's draft. _________________

By that point how is what you write any more believable than rotowire??
Irish Dolfan | cause rotowire goes by other news sources... I go by sources from within the falcons who have told me that they will not sign a QB if Vick is suspended and that Petrino has trust in Harrington if Vick went down for any reason. _________________

I know Culpepper was still rebounding from the knee injury, but if he couldn't hold off Joey Harrington in Miami, why would you think he could in Atlanta? I think it's a waste of cap space, and honestly we have to see what happens with Vick first. If he somehow doesn't end up in jail, then the Falcons will probably just have to deal with out him this year.
Otherwise, you find the best possible QB you can next year in the draft or FA and hope for the best. They better hope Vick gets out of this one, however unlikely, because aside from Brohm in '08, I don't think Henne, Booty or Woodson are going to be great NFL quarterbacks. |

| Culpepper could put up better numbers in the weaker NFC. |

| I doubt they sign him but I really hope they do. Who would you rather play Harrington or no knee Culpepper? I pick Culpepper, especially since the Panthers play them twice a year. |

| Petrino did say at the press conf. today that they would need another QB before camp starts as he needs 4 to pratice. At this point, I would say sign Culpepper if you could get him at the right price, but I dont think that we will have the cap space to get him in here. |

Scar988 is right...theres no possility in him going to Atlanta....the only reason its being "reported" by rotowire is because its seemingly the most fitting place for a QB such as Culpepper to go...but hes nothing more then a 3rd stringer at this pont in his career. His 4000+ yard passing years are long gone and wont happen again. _________________

Even if he were to sign with Atlanta, that doesn't mean he's going to start. The odds are still pretty likely that he might not play at all this year, since he still hasn't fully recovered from his injury.
Therefore, if he signs with Atlanta, it would only be as a backup...to Joey Harrington. _________________
