| Quote: | Second-round draft pick Brian Leonard, a running back from Rutgers, has agreed to terms on a four-year deal with the Rams.
Contract terms weren't immediately available, but Leonard is expected to sign the deal Wednesday.
So Leonard, who figures to be the top backup to Pro Bowler Steven Jackson, will not miss any practice time in training camp as he learns his first NFL offense. |

Yeah I am excited to see what this kid can do. I doubt he iis going to be a gamebreaker or anything but I bet he will contribute to this team as much as he will be given the oppurtunity to. Good to see that he will be at the first day of training camp. |

Nah. His position is as a singleback. His abilities are perfect for the Rams singleback formation. He's not outstanding at anything but he can run/catch/block very effectively. I doubt he puts up great stats this year, but he will presumably make Jackson more efficient which will make our offense more dangerous.
I'm excited about having him on our team. |

As for Leonard, I don't think it was a great draft pick but he is definetly a great player and i look forward to watching him play. |
thats how i see it, i would love to see him as the focal point in an offense though _________________

He is not going to be playing FB he is going to play a lot of RB as Jackson's main backup. _________________

Nah, he'll be a Jet. In four years Thomas Jones will probably be on his last legs, and Leonard complements Leon Washington perfectly.
He's going to be a great player in this league. I was expecting him to go to a team that runs more of a RBBC, but he'll find success with the Rams either way. |

Yet another weapon for the Rams, as if they really need one. Don't be surprised if you see St. Louis in the Super Bowl. _________________
