Quote: | Raiders released safety Darnell Bing.
The Raiders tried to convert Bing to linebacker, but it didn't work. Its a strong statement about Bing's ability that his former USC coach Lane Kiffin would cut him. Bing, a fourth-round pick, may be the highest 2006 draftee cut to date. |

Kind of a surprise move..move to LB didnt work couldnt gain enough weight..and this could be due to his injury last year..
also they let go Jarrod Cooper |

He'd be a great eventual replacement for Rodney Harrison in New England. _________________

Well he has done nothing to show that he deserves to get any significant playing time, so while this is a bit surprising, it doesn't shock me. It's odd to see how far he has fallen. At one point were putting him in the 1st round of their mocks for the 2006 draft. Then he was considered a steal in the 4th round. While he has been a dissapointment, I wouldn't mind the Ravens giving him a look. An extra safety wouldn't hurt for us, and Rex Ryan could possibly use him in a few different ways. It'll be interesting to see who gives him a shot. |

Wow.
The guy was thought of as a first round talent at one point and is now looking for a job after only 1 year.
I would however find it hard to believe that he won't get another shot elsewhere. _________________ First Ballot Cleveland Browns Forum Hall of Fame Inductee. |

Teams that actually employ a FS and a SS instead of the two S's, would have a real find with Bing. He's just not cutout to be strictly a cover guy. Sadly for him, SS's are becoming a thing of the past. I really think going to NE and backing up Rodney Harrison with Belichick coaching, would be ideal. _________________

The Cowboys cut Skyler Green in the middle of the season last year because he ended up on the Bengals toward the end of the season. _________________ Tired of having to put down five stacks to get a crispy new ride? Go to IDeserveACar.com to get a fresh new whip. |

I would love if the eagles brought him in to split time with Considine at SS and play on running downs. He wouldn't cost much either. |

This is quite shocking to me... so young. Did they think this through completely?
This is a great pickup for some team. |
