| Quote: | | Free-agent defensive end Simeon Rice, one of the few potential impact players remaining in free agency and a guy who enters 2007 as the second-leading active sacker in the league, reached a contract agreement with the Denver Broncos on Monday evening. |
The Broncos continue to bolster their defensive line. What's your reaction? _________________

Didn't the Rams sign him? Or was someone a little overzealous in their news reprting? _________________

I think this is a good pick. The Broncos still don’t have the kind of pass rush they were hoping to get, and now they get some experience with a veteran in there young D-Line. He should help alot, with there DE rotation. _________________

Damn, that is a great signing. If the Broncos can manage to consistently force passing downs on 3rd down, that defense could be insane. _________________ Equal Opportunity Hater

He can still be a good DE, but his best years are behind him and he has been getting injuried more often. _________________

He was really close to signing with the Rams and it came down to the two teams, he went and passed his physical there, but decided to join the Broncos. _________________

I'm pumped about this. He got hurt last year, sure, but having one of the best sack artists of all time on your team helps the rookies tremendously. Rice, Moss, Crowder, Dumervil is going to be nasty on passing downs. Crowder, Engleberger and Rice have the run stopping ability, and Moss has shown potential there too. Now if the DT position stays fine, we could be in a good position. _________________

Ahhh, I see.
Good signing, they had no pass rush last season. _________________

I definately don't see Rice as being the long term solution in Denver. He'll play well this year and give the Broncos value.
Of course when you've got Bly and Bailey behind you, the defensive line doesn't have to be great. _________________
