| Quote: | | We're hearing an unconfirmed rumor -- and this is incredibly unconfirmed for now -- that quarterback Eli Manning might be done for the year with a shoulder injury that he suffered during a failed two-point conversion attempt in the fourth quarter of Sunday night's loss to the Cowboys. |

Wow that would be a huge loss for the G-men. The Packers d-line would have a field day with the immobile Jared Lorenzen back there. _________________

So PFT is reporting what they call an unconfirmed rumor, which means that he is probably going to miss two practices, PFT tends to exagerate things a little bit, but if he does miss the season, the Giants will be in a great place to find an amazing replacement for Barber, since they will be picking #1 overall. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

According to the link I posted in the Osi news story, the injury to Eli Manning, is in fact, only a minor injury according to sources close to Manning. I wouldn't take too much stock in the story given by Florio (which is why I didn't post it). _________________

If its true, the Giants season is over.
I really doubt the validity of this though. Giants are giving a press conference at 6 so we will find out soon.
But Eli was on the sideline and didnt seem like he was in much pain, so I really dont see this being a major injury |

Well, even according to PFT the source is not reliable. I would file this under "wait and see". The game was out of hand when Lorenzen first came in. (Even though that last touchdown for the Cowboys should not have counted).
Eli finally shut some of his detractors up last night. I'd like to see him play some more this year. _________________ "22 players are involved in every football play. To value precisely the activity of one of them, it is first necessary to account for the actions of the other 21" |

Yeah he looked fine to me on the sidelines just a little disappointed at how the game turned out I think he'll be fine. He had a good game as well by the way. _________________

2 questions:
What happened to Anthony Wright ? Why was Lorenzen in there last night when Eli went down ? Isn't he 3rd string ?
and secondly, Why wasn't Droughns put in the starting HB role when Jacobs went down ? _________________

No JLoad was number 2 on the depth chart. And we were using Droughns as our fullback last night so that's why they went with Ward. _________________

Apparently Anthony Wright was injured as well. I heard that on ESPN radio on my way to the ER last night, so I may have been out of it and hearing things but I'm pretty sure I heard it right. _________________
