Always nice to beat them Raggies.
Now I'm just waiting for which of the few good players we have left is to be shipped off for a 2nd round pick. _________________

Was at the Stars game tonight, I know it was Minnesota but damn they looked good. 3 game winning streak now, and the 8th seed in the West _________________

Minnesota is like an AHL team right now. Hopefully one of the stars knocked the [inappropriate/removed] out of Peters, such a punk. |

Regarding the Minnesota-New Jersey deal, I don't think it's a massive overpayment. There weren't many puck moving d-men available and New Jersey needed someone who can move the puck and fire it as well. Foster was only good at the latter. Yeah Zidlicky sucked this season but Minnesota backend is pretty poor and their team has been going downhill since the all-star break. Not to mention Zidlicky won't be asked to do everything in NJ and sometimes that's what a player wants to hear and usually thrives on. _________________

I hope Ovy rebounds like that.
Even more disgusting is Tampa Bay's goaltending and defense. _________________

Roloson's really dropped off the proverbial cliff too.
At least Islanders have Nabokov. _________________

Canucks put D Keith Ballard on LTIR. Gone from no cap room to 4.6 mil to work with at the deadline.
Hoping for a big move for a top 4 D or second line RW. _________________

I love having the NHL Network, despite their lack of original programming. That game was nice. Roloson went after Malkin, and Malkin just took it to him. He just showed he is capable of taking his game to another level that no one on the ice is capable of. The announcers were right, him getting Roloson outside the net and behind the goal line is just filthy. Pittsburgh just poured it on from there. Their forecheck was working great, and their offense with Staal and Dupuis as a rock solid 2nd line is scary.
Also, TB is finding out what us Blues fans knew for all too long; Eric Brewer is not very good. Tampa need to re-vamp that D like crazy. I can't believe they haven't made a move for a goalie by now. You've got guys like Bernier and Harding, who I'm sure could be had if they wanted to pay a reasonable price. The same goes for Columbus, whose goalies are an atrocity and just made a move for yet another below-average netminder. |

Stars are essentially an AHL team right now too. Lots of call ups and injuries. We are gunning for the future, not the short-run, but making playoffs would be nice. _________________

Hamrlik may be moved, but I'm not sure of any other players. Haven't heard their name come up a lot in trade rumors. |
