New York Daily News -
The New York Daily News reported Thursday that Isiah Thomas was told last week that he would not return as the team’s coach.
According to the newspaper, new president Donnie Walsh could make an announcement as early as Thursday. Despite two disastrous seasons on the bench, Thomas is hoping to remain with the organization in a lesser capacity. |

Mr. Walsh might have just saved a franchised.
Even though I am not a Knicks fan at all I am thrilled this has finally happened. _________________

Exactly what im thinking..
Jackson has a connection through Walsh from when he played with the Pacers.. So i think its only a matter of time since he's announced as the coach. _________________

Why would Knicks get rid of the genius that is Isaiah. It takes absolute skill to ruin a team as much as he did. Also, the Knick just dumped the only thing that has made them relevent for the last 4 years. _________________

If the Knicks really want to clean house, they can't just get ride of Isiah Thomas. They have to get ride of that entire roster, and rebuild this team from the ground back up again. _________________

They just need to somehow get rid of Marbury, Randolph, Curry, Richardson, Rose, James, Jeffries, and Jones. _________________

Thomas was doing wonders in NY, another horrible move by the Knicks organization. _________________

yea and the sad thing is that we would have to give up either Lee or Balkman just to dump one of those huge salaries. Also Collins needs to go as well, he does absolutely nothing. Nate is a joy too watch but he is Marbury lite and there is no way I can ever see him leading a contender at the point. Crawford still hasnt found a way too play within himself and takes too many bad shots but when he is on there are few who can score like him so i think its 50/50 on whether he should go.
The only guys I want to keep are
1.Lee
2.Balkman
3.Chandler
4.Morris
5.Crawford _________________

Thomas was worse as a general manager, inserting Mark Jackson into the coaching position won't do anything. The Knicks need to rebuild and stop making misadvised aquisitions, I don't want another Randolph or Curry or Marbury deal. I am more interested to see who Walsh hires at G.M. rather than coach because this team is still several years away from being a playoff team.
Anyways, it's the end of an era for Knicks fans. an agonizingly painful era nonetheless. |
