Scenario 1: Bama beats Georgia in SECCG. Bama vs Florida NCG.
Scenario 2: Georgia beats Bama in SECCG. Georgia vs Florida Rematch for NCG.

Why are we all assuming ND will lose?
USC likely doesn't have Barkley and has an atrocious defense. You would trust a RS Freshman making his first career start against the #1 scoring D in the country? Even worse, you would trust USC's defense to do anything worthwhile?
What would happen if they won out and beat Bama in the NCG? Would we be talking about Bama having an "off day" and ND lucking their way to the crystal ball? |

If Stanford loses to UCLA, then Oregon would make it over another SEC team if they beat Oregon State and UCLA.
I also highly doubt Notre Dame loses, especially if Barkley doesn't play.

It will be interesting to see what happens in that scenario. I'm not convinced a 12-1 Oregon makes it in over an 11-1 UF because of the computers (especially if South Carolina beats Clemson). Oregon will needs a solid margin over them in the polls to make up for it. |
