Thats pathetic though... just another reason why ESPN doesn't and shouldn't carry hockey.
THEY DON'T KNOW JACK CRAP ABOUT IT! |
they are better than versus, yet rumors have it they will have NBC's spot beginning in 2010-2011 |
I don't really care who is broadcasting the games as long as I can watch them on TV. I don't have Versus so I would love for NBC to pick up more games or ESPN to carry some. _________________

So the Eastern Conference's 2nd place team will only have 1 representative according to the Washington Post.

The bigger news, though, is that Ovechkin will be the only (player) representative from the Eastern Conference's second best team. That's because niether Mike Green nor Nicklas Backstrom were tapped by the league.

This is why All-Star games are failures by and large. _________________

Ovechkin not starting is a crime. Backstrom and Green should be on the team as well. Oh well, that's what happens during fan voting.

Absolute joke. Could you imagine the explosion that would have occurred on this website if a top-two team like the Steelers or Titans had only gotten on Pro-Bowler (ahem, Blaq and Mesa) _________________

Jeez, 3 stinkers in a row, 2 at home against Columbus and Edmonton, and 1 on the road against Montreal, and all were a result of them playing too cute and not getting anyone to the net. This team is extremely skilled, but some of these guys forget that they need to work every single night for wins in the this league. Let's hope for a better showing tonight against the Penguins. _________________

Since when is John Erskine an enforcer? Since when does Alex Semin have the ability to ride a defenseman to the net? Since when is Nicklas Backstrom the best player on the ice at all times?
You have a very impressive team. _________________

thank you very much, it's a very exciting time to be a Caps fan right now. And I think that what you pointed out about Semin and Backs are what makes this team so scary...they're so young that they're still getting better. Also, with Erskine, he's finally gotten himself healthy after suffering a concussion in the middle of November. If he can add some toughness and some grit to an already extremely skilled team, I think he will be a great asset come playoff time. _________________

Huge win over Detroit tonight for the Red Army. I really hope they can retake the #2 position in the East. Unfortunately I really don't think anyone is gonna catch Boston for #1 at this point. _________________

I loved beating the Red Wings yesterday. Even though they're injured, we can prove that we beat the best. _________________ Go Vikings!

Ovechkin is unbelievable. A Canadiens defensman made a lead pass that went a little too far to his foward, Ovie taps it on his backhand off the boards, spins around to get a near breakaway. The other Canadiens defenseman rides him to the net, forcing Ovie to slide to the net, but he still scores.
He already has a Hart Trophy thanks to a 65 goal season. And we may not have seen his best yet
5-3 for Washington coming up. 1-1 in the first. _________________

The thing that I really love about Ovechkin is the fact that he is not always just scoring the sick dangling break away goals. When he is at his best is when he just simply wants it more than anyone else on the ice. His energy and will to win is what seperates him from anyone else in the NHL, and is what has taken the Capitals from bottom dwellers to Stanely Cup contenders in a little over 1 and a half seasons. _________________
