THE OFFICIAL WASHINGTON CAPITALS THREAD
Life long fans and "Bandwagoners" alike, Welcome to the home for all Caps fans here on Football's Future!
With the major first push of free agency over, and the start of development camp I figured now would be as good as time as ever to start this thread to start to get ready for the 2008-2009 season. So feel free to discuss any and all Caps related issues.
How do you feel about Olie's departure to Tampa?
Can Karl Alzner make his way onto the final Caps roster this season?
Has GMGM put the right pieces in place to make another run into the post season? _________________

Caps resign Sergei Fedorov to 1 yr 4 Mil Dollar Deal
I'm really happy to see that they got a deal done. I think Feds was an important addition to that locker room, and was a great influence not only on Ovie, but also on Semin. This combined with the resigning of Brooks Laich and developement of Karl Alzner is really getting me excited for how this team is shaping up. _________________

Thanks for making a Capitals thread. They are my favorite team. Good to see Fedorov resigned. I don't mind Kolzigs departure as long as Huet steps up and plays well. _________________

Huet used us as a bargaining chip to get a bigger offer from Chicago and was quickly replaced with Jose Theodore, which I'm fine with. Either Huet or Theodore were going to be at best a 1 or 2 year stop gap until Michal Neuvirth or Simeon Varlamov (both age 20) are NHL-ready. _________________

Well, you're going to be severely disappointed then seeing that Huet is no longer with the Caps. Huet signed a lucrative multi-year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks last week.
Jose Theodore is Washington's new goalie. And from all indications, he's the unquestioned starter right now. _________________

You guys have a pretty good team. Green is very fun to watch, but is a liability on defense. But dam, he is good on offense. Backstrom is good also, and Semin has some moves
You guys should have a good year again _________________

look for the yellow skate laces, probably more towards the middle as he tends to be the cause of celebrations such as that _________________

I love Olie and its sad to see him go, I also wish we still had Huet. However, I think Theodore will be fine. _________________

And because he looks like a duck.
Thats pathetic though... just another reason why ESPN doesn't and shouldn't carry hockey.
