It's too bad to see Isaac West go, I was pulling for him to make the team.

yeah. i'm disappointed about west being cut as well. what psises me of even more is that they signe another receiver justin jenkins is still on the active roster an they should place him on the IR and give his place to west. he kinda reminded me of greg lewis smallish but extremely quick.
he better be on the practice squad

Dont really care about the others although they did say jared jones was a smart player an coming along nicely

The only people from that list I even recognize are Bergeron, West, and Peoples... and I admit I am a little disappointed to see West go after hearing Phreak talk about him... and then yeah at this point we have a better-than-we-thought (or at least than I did) but very shallow WR corps, I mean who do we even have besides Owens, Brown, and McMullen? Hopefully someone gets signed soon... and on the same note, unless we're going into the season with Westbrook, Moats, Perry, and Mahe, we need to go after a FA there too... admittedly this is possible but it doesn't seem all that probable to me. Unless there is a trade in the works (coughSimonSimoneauforFergusonDavenportcough) we need to sign someone else for both of these spots, or at least for the WR one, before the season begins, and IMO, before the last preseason game.

I think that the Eagles like west but that they know he wont make the roster--hence to be fair to him (and the others who they are pretty sure not going to be on the 53) if there's a team with a roster spot they let him go now. but don't be surprised to see him and/or Samp (who you didn't mention even though he was cut Sat) on the PS...they always have a WR or 2 there.

TE Whalen and offensive guard Branden Hall wre also released.

In terms of trades, big signings I think they'll wait after the last preseason game and 53man cuts.

just saw this on KFFL the Eagles released Jon Ritchie and signed Dernarian McCants

They traded up a lot for Young and they don't give him 2-3 years.

I was really pulling for guys like Martin Patterson and Keyonta Marshall, but Hugh Douglas and John Ritchie? Just goes to show you how deep our team really is. They still might make the practise squad however.

Hugh won't sink to the low level of the practice squad. I'm surprised they kept both Perry and Mahe, especially because of Perry's fumblitis, the fact that Mahe sucks, and the fact that we are left without a big, bruising back, and the only goal line back of any sort we have, Jon Ritchie, was released today as well. Hopefully Mahe gets released soon so we can pick up a bruiser who might become available.
