Great article about AJ McCarron preparing for next season:

http://espn.go.com/blog/sec/post/_/id/39921/tides-mccarron-ready-to-go-back-to-work

Gotta love his humility and hunger for continuing to get better.  I knew he had this in him from jump and I'm really happy for him and us Tide fans.

Here's a breakdown of our revamped secondary going into the spring:

Looks like our JC transfer corners are going to need to pan out for us to be right back in the national title game.

Just a question but in the Eagles forum we were talking about Dre Kirkpatrick. I don't remember him playing in the slot too much. I always remember seeing him on the outside. Does that seem right to y'all? Just making sure.

Sounds right to me. Menzie played a lot in the slot IIRC but I don't ever remember Dre being there.

Yeah, I have a hard time feeling sorry for this guy. Look, your coach moved you to another position.......deal with it!

I was on campus attending UA when this dude sold his soul. I can't even begin to describe the vitriol in the community when this went down. The sense of betrayal. This also shows how much Auburn hates us and the feeling is mutual when it comes to football.

Nick Saban just signed a 2 year extension.

Quote:
Alabama coach Nick Saban said he received overtures for other jobs after claiming the second national title in three years. Instead of bolting, he has received a raise and contract extension worth $5.62 million a year that he said represents his intention to finish his career in Tuscaloosa.

Other members of the staff also received raises. The future is looking bright in Tuscaloosa.

Helluva bargain for UA and Bama fans. The Capstone has been his longest tenure to date in his career and already 2 titles. Where's all that nomadic mercenary talk now, jealous haters? Cool

http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/04/with_4_returning_starters_alab.html

Quote:
Nick Saban was asked if this offensive line was "as good as advertised." He bristled a bit, saying that he doesn't read newspapers or magazines, so he had no idea how they were advertised, before proceeding to positively highlight the work of each member from the first-team unit.

Fluker? "Phenomenally good spring."

Steen? "Real good spring."

Jones? "Pleased with the progress he's made."

Warmack? "Probably the most consistent player that we had last year."

Kouandjio? "Learning every day, getting better every day."

"I like those guys," Saban said. "They've done a good job."

Our OL is gonna be SICK!

Not as sick as you're going to be leading up to the game and even more so afterward. Wink

September 1st against Michigan in Jerry's world. What a setting that will be. You know Saban will have the team ready to play.
