Just some notes:
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3532016 <-- Sheffield is supposedly on waivers. Those 2 HR's he hit certainly don't hurt his trade value
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3531795 <-- Garcia has been signed and Willis was promoted to AAA. I guess it wouldn't hurt giving Garcia a shot in the bullpen.
Edit: Oh wait, all this has been posted, my bad
Well at least Miner looked good again, albeit against a bad hitting Toronto team. _________________

I dont see Sheff clearing waivers or really anybody else, we should just keep the team we got now andat least give it a try, for the sake of dignity, and deal with all the problems in the offseason. _________________

Just heard on ESPN Firsttake we MIGHT have placed a claim on Jared Washburn. Idk what this means but maybe Dombrowski hasn't quit on this season yet after all? _________________

Another outstanding outing by Armando today! What a gem this guy has been in an otherwise disappointing season.
This guy should get some serious consideration for ROY. |

Longoria already has the trophy bolted into his mantle. This year there is no debate on the Al or NL ROY. Longoria and Soto have them locked down. _________________ Its only a matter of time until Hockey Town USA is rocking again!

GIVE UP ON THE SEASON IT IS DONE DD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Somebody needs to pound some sense into his head, our rotation is fine where is is, Rogers, Verlander, Robertson, Gallaraga, Miner, the 1st three are getting too much money to be put in the pen and the last 2 are pitching awsome right now! _________________

Anyone else see that Robertson was demoted to the bullpen
I wonder who will be called up, it's been confirmed it WON'T be Willis. Whew.
Maybe Chris Lambert?
Btw, Cabrera is finally showing why we gave up 6 prospects for him. It might have taken some time to get use to the AL pitchers, but he will not be a bust for us _________________

I really don't know how you fix the Tigers for next year.
On paper they should have had very capable pitching but as we have seen both the starters and bull pen have as a group failed.
It seems incredible that Bonderman and Verlander were so inconsistent this year. Willis totally collapsed. Jones, Zumaya and Rodney could all have control issues. All in the same year.
Whatever DD does in the off season he really needs to find some pitching solutions. Heading into next year with this staff is another recipe for disaster. _________________

Cabrera has too much talent not to be a bust. He's a future 40 Homer .330 guy and that might be even if he doesn't work. The guy has a wicked bat. If only he worked a little harder he could be the next Albert, but for now he'll be the next Manny. _________________

Another strong outing by Miner. If he gets one more quality start, he should seriously get strong consideration for a starting spot last year. _________________
