You realize Kirk compared Rudock to Keokuk, yes? yes.

Kirk also took three games to announce Stanzi as full-time starter over Christensen

*shrugs*

Starting up again tomorrow, so I figured I'd bump this thread.

The three I really want to see the most from tomorrow are: Alston, Willies, and Rudock. The first two had a LOT of hype over the spring, so I'm really hoping they live up to it (though, Willies is listed as the #2 at split end, may not see too much from him). Then I'm really interested to see how Rudock progresses from year 1 to 2. A lot of people on campus wanted to see Beathard get the starting gig, but I wanted to give Rudock a chance to progress.

Just the defense as a whole will be interesting to watch given all the turnover from last year, LBs especially.

I'm so pumped for Iowa football to be back! Our schedule gives us a real good shot at getting to the B1G Championship game this year. I'm also going to be in town for the ISU game, can't wait for that game.

How has Rudock looked in camp?

A win over UNI is nothing to scoff, that's a real good football team, and one of the better ones we'll see all year.

Agreed. UNI is not a bad football team at all.

Agreed. Good coach and solid team year in, year out. By the looks of some other Hawkeye boards, you would swear Iowa got beat by 3 TDs and is going to win 4 games. So many drama queens. smh.

I imagine you're referring to BHGP?

They are hilarious over there, but the overreactions are ridiculous.

I feel like Iowa never comes out clicking in season openers, at least recently. So I'm not too worried about Saturday. As has been said they beat a good football team.

Can it be ISU week already?

Iowa has had at least 1 or 2 losses going back to 2009 in the early weeks of the season. But good to get past UNI.

Watching at work from like 100 ft away right now...

Why is Ruddock not playing? Saw he threw a couple passes..

Can't complain though... was that Beathard that threw that dime?

If you miss 3 FGs, you are not going to win many games.

Yeah that was embarrassing, hopefully we never have to experience that crap again.
