I'm seeing the return of or creation of new conference threads and felt it's only right for the greatest conference on Earth to have one.

SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC! SEC!

Cool

Thoughts so far after the first 2 days of SEC Media Days:

-I really love Will Muschamp's mentality and the way he carries himself. It's hard not to like the guy.

-I'm not a fan of Bret BieLoLema whatsoever but he completely pwned Gus Malzahn in his response to his comments about hurry-up offenses. Will prolly be his biggest victory before he's fired 3 years from now.

-I think Kevin Sumlin is a great coach but I would never expect him to take care of business off the field if it meant costing him games. That translates to Johnny Football having no leash at all.

-Speaking of the Heisman drama magnet, his victory parade has long been out of control. NOBODY was buying his explanation this morning about why he got kicked out of the Manning Passing Academy. Oops I mean the mutual decision that both sides made that he should go home and get rest. He's only 20 and not legally allowed to drink so I'm not surprised he refused to answer questions about him drinking last wkd. But the entire "my phone died" excuse was pretty pathetic. Forgot to plug in his phone after he got back from the bars that night is more likely. Laughing

-I really hope AJ McCarron avoids all the questions that he's going to be bombarded with about how he roomed with Manziell and was seen kicking it together. You just know they're going to ask "Was Johhny out late? When did he get home? Was he drunk? Did you try to wake him up?" Keep it about Bama and that 4th ring, AJ.

-Obviously, I'm most interested in Coach Saban's press conference and look fwd to that. 2013 is not 2012 is what he's going to start off with most likely. Laughing

-I'm sure The Hat will be good for a bunch of hilarious quotables himself.

I did like hearing Clowney talk about the QB's who feared him.

I liked the little battle between Clown man and our OTs. Clowney was asked what tackles were the best he faced and he said "That guy from Tennessee was the best at holding and getting away with it" referring to Tiny. Tiny didn't really respond back too much just said something like "I'm not scared. He's a good player, we will settle it on the field". Ju'Wuan James (RT) had more to say about Clown though (direct quote) "Nobody on my team is scared,” James said. “He’s one of the guys that likes to talk. Tiny did his thing against him last year. He never came to my side. I don’t know if [Clowney] was scared or not.
“Tiny got to hog him. [Clowney's] one of those guys that makes rivalries what they are from talking.”

Nothing groundbreaking, but Tiny did the best job of slowing down Clowney before letting up a sack that resulted in a fumble which sealed a loss against SC. Clowney literally had maybe 1 pressure all game until that play.

EDIT: Tiny also said to local media outlets beforehand that he and Clown talked a lot of trash and said he would keep the exact words to himself Laughing

Not sure if it was at Media Day or not, but Clowney recognized/gave kudos to Taylor Lewan when asked who the best OL he faced was so he is good in my book.

Not sure how James Franklin was able to get the 4th slot on the final (?) media day along with Saban, Miles and Richt though.

He did. The part I left off the above quote was (look at question above): "that dude from Michigan and that guy from Tennessee. He (Tiny) was the best at holding and getting away with it"

Clowney was on a rampage. Called out Tiny, didn't mention Tiny or Lewan by name, called out a few QBs, said something about someone "crying" or something. Some ole ball coach rubbed off on Clowney's demeanor Laughing

Time to win the East this year again, and probably the league.

Aaron Murray on Clowney, "He misused the word "scared." I have a lot of respect for him."

Yeah he did a hell of a job on him. You guys also seemed to run a lot of quick passing plays during that game (at least it seemed that way during the game I never looked at a breakdown or anything)

But indeed he did a hell of a job.

Well, if we finish last it will be the first time since we joined the league. Still think getting auburn and mississippi state at home has to give us the advantage.

If Driskel by any miracle of modern medicine grows a brain over the summer, we're whomping all over the SEC.

Unfortunately I feel like will muschamp has a better chance of growing horns and spewing fire on the sidlelines before Jeff gets that precious brain.
