| Did anybody catch TO on ESPN NEWS? Apparently TO doesn't hate Donovan -- He LOVES him. And TO plans to talk to Donovan before MNF. This guy is a joker. Thoughts? |

I think he now all of a sudden loves McNabb is so the Eagles either
A) Pick up his option and give him his roster bonus
OR
B)They did have that secret agreement that they will let him go next year _________________

He laid out his full hand and said absolutely whatever he could and talked to the media saying anything that he thought would help him get his new contract, and now that it didn't work, he's trying to get back on everybody's good side. This, of course, includes McNabb, who in making his statements to earn a new contract, TO badmouthed (though not severely at all), leading to the grudge they now hold against each other. Owens seems to want to forget anything ever happened, and you know how everyone always talks about how "professional" McNabb is? It's not very professional to hold a grudge. I think they both end up dropping the whole conflict (even if they remain a little tense), and are back talking to each other by week one. Granted, this whole acting-nice-all-of-a-sudden thing may just be another feeble attempt for TO to try to attain a new contract, but either way it should work out pretty well for Eagles fans. _________________

McNabb is human - and no matter how professional you are, feelings are feelings. He and the Eagles got raped by TO through the media this last few months... McNabb will never forget that and I don't blame him. But he is a true professional and will put on the "happy face" for this whole situation because it's the best for Philly, and for himself if they want a ring. _________________

Hmm... I wonder if we slipped him a few dollars under the table
Wait, this is T.O. and his ego is far more important than money so that couldn't have been it. I wonder what would make him say such nice things? I'm stumped. _________________

Like I said I think he's just trying to kiss everyone (except Hugh Douglas)'s a$$ in order to get back on their good side. Take these comments and a 2- or 3-touchdown performance vs Atlanta and I think Eagles fans will have plenty enough convincing that TO does belong. _________________

Well, I'm no cynic, so I'll take this at face value as good news. _________________

Good atleast I'm not the only one to think that lol, T.O. is wanted anywhere, someone in Philly should hire a hitman for Rosenhaus or something, solves everything[/quote] |
