One could make an argument for what Parcells did in Miami but no doubt they made the right choice. Huge turnaround for the Falcons this year Applause

Parcells should have won it.

The argument for Mike Smith winning COY over Sparano was that even though Sparano took over the worse team W/L wise, he had an easier situation because of what Parcells had done for him. So if Dimitroff did the better job as an executive, then presumably that means Smith walked into the better situation. But since Smith won COY, I think Parcells should have won this award. Either Sparano or Parcells got robbed here, there's no way Smith and Dimitroff should have both won.

Parcells certainly did, but nonetheless, congratulations to Dimitroff, he did a very good job with the Falcons.

And the trend of Miami Dolphins getting passed over for awards in 2008 continues.

Parcells or Jeff Ireland should have won it.

to me the reason why he gets it over parcells is the vick situation although parcells had a 1-15 team to revamp, however didnt have to get a city excited about football again after a horrible situation, coach bailing on team, etc

YES! This is awesome news and Parcells was a very deserving candidate as well, but TD won it so I am very glad.

What about Jeff Ireland? He seems to be the forgotten spoke in the Dolphin's wheel.

Sporano should have won COY. It's silly that the Falcons took coach and executive.

no Dimitroff should have won it, however, Smith should not have won COY.

i agree with the general sentiments of BTerp though.

Congrats to him. The Falcons hit the tri-fecta in the awards. ROY, COY, and Executive of the year.
