Miami football has dismissed perhaps its most recognizable remaining player, safety Ray-Ray Armstrong, the school announced Wednesday morning. This comes on the heels of rumors that he and tackle Seantrel Henderson were to be suspended.

Both were waste of talent. Golden keep setting it straight. Glad when all Shannon's players are gone.

Can he transfer to a FCS/D2 team this late and play this year?

Or he could just finish up his degree at the U and take his chances with the Nfl draft.

That'd be pointless if he wants to play in the NFL.

Maybe he realizes he sucks and wants a fall back option for after football?

Let's be real most dudes who go to major colleges to play football just focus on that and if they don't make it into football their entire life gets messed up. I don't think Ray Ray would be one of the guys who is focused on a fall back option after football TBH

Guy was talented but too stupid to stay out of trouble. A team with impending NCAA sanctions can't afford to be soft on morons, bottom line. Hopefully he gets his head on straight one day and makes some noise in the NFL, but I'd bet against it.

“@ByTimReynolds: Ray-Ray Armstrong will be allowed to transfer anywhere he wants, UM says. Wow.”

Seantrel Henderson has been such a waste of talent, he should've just came to USC.

I remember when he first committed, I was like this will be another great safety from Miami, but he never really stay focused. I wonder what the final straw was.

Not really a huge deal. He was gonna have to sit out a year if he went FBS due to NCAA rules, right?
