2009 FA Draft
1 (20) = Derrick Dockery, OG - Felt that he was a good building block to start off with for the offensive line.
2 (44) = Marc Colombo, OT - Colombo can hold down an OT position and is versatile between the different line spots.
3 (68 ) = Mark Clayton, WR - Clayton seemed like the best option for the offensive system at this point in the draft.
4 (92) = Forfeited (Keith Ellison)
5 (116) = Ed Johnson, DT - Johnson was out for a year, but as a rookie he stepped in and produced at a high rate. Could be a steal at this point.
6 (140) = Edgerrin James, RB - Edge still has some in the tank and has potential to produce in a 2 back system.
7 (164) = Kirk Chambers, OL - Chambers is still young and can step in as a starting lineman at either RT or an OG spot.

2009 Rookie Draft
1 (5) = Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech - He is the top playmaker in this draft and we are very happy to land him here. The two-time Biletnikoff Award winner is a natural pass catcher with outstanding ball skills and awareness.
2 (29) = Brian Cushing, LB, USC - As a linebacker capable of manning either outside linebacker position, Cushing gives the team numerous options for filling out its lineup. With Cushing in place, the Outlaws have the potential to craft an aggressive blitz package that attacks offenses from multiple angles.
2 (42) = Everette Brown, DE, Florida State - The Outlaws pick up a pass rusher who many teams rated as a first-round prospect. The former Seminole has an exceptional first step and is crafty working around the edge.
4 (77) = Cornelius Ingram, TE, Florida - The Outlaws nab one of the best athletes at the position with Ingram. The former Gator is capable of stretching the field with his speed, and he could be an impact playmaker in the Outlaws' offense
5 (101) = Traded for a future 4th Rounder
6 (125) = Forfeited (Keith Ellison, LB)
7 (149) = Marcus Freeman, LB, Ohio State - The former Buckeye is an intriguing prospect with the athleticism to develop into a starter as a pro. Though he underachieved at times as a college player, Freeman lands in a defensive system that ideally suits his skills.
8 (173) = Forfeited (Naufahu Tahi, FB)
9 (197) = Joe Burnett, CB, UCF - The Outlaws get a talented but undersized corner prospect with Burnett. The former Golden Knight has good ball skills and is an excellent return man.
10 (221) = Troy Nolan, S, Arizona State - Nolan runs well and does have some ball skills. Arizona State's struggles last year affected Nolan, but he's a good player. To get him in the tenth round is good value for his speed and skill level.
UDFA = Curtis Painter, QB, Purdue - Legitimate NFL arm strength and accuracy. Can make every NFL throw, showing the zip, touch and deep accuracy necessary to attack every level of the defense.
UDFA = Cary Harris, CB, Southern California - Harris has a solid press technique. He will be able to get up in the face of opposing wide receivers and play off of that.
UDFA = Rulon Davis, DL, California - A former Marine who served time in Iraq, Davis' rare blend of size and athleticism has NFL scouts imagining him as a part of their own front line of defense.
UDFA = Edwin Williams, C, Maryland - Williams was a stout, hard-working, durable three-year starter in the pivot for the Terps who capped off his career with a first-team All-ACC season in 2008. Not only is he the leader of the offensive line on the field, but his coaches are very high on his attitude and off-field leadership abilities.
UDFA = Sha'reff Rashad, S, UCF - Ballhawk safety that isn't scared to get in the box and make a hit.

2010 RFA
Dennis Roland, OT
Nate Livings, OG
Tim Bulman, DE
Tim Shaw, LB

2010 FA Draft
1 = Antrel Rolle, S = With the most glaring need on the team being the defensive backfield, the Outlaws are able to pull in a big name safety.
2a = Barry Cofield, DT = Plugging another huge hole will be this large starting DT. We felt that his youth and skills fit this selection very well.
2b = Matt Roth, DE = A solid run-stuffing DE is exactly what the Outlaws needed on the left side. This high motor, young player has potential to be a solid starting DE.
3 = Brandon Manumaleuna, TE = A great compliment to Ingram, he is a great blocker and will fit our run game perfectly.
4 = Chester Pitts, OG = Very surprised to see him still on the board, he will come in and take the starting RG position. Hopefully his injuries are all taken care of.
5 = Ma'ake Kemoeatu, NT = A huge run stuffing NT was too hard to pass up here. Another player coming off an injury that can be a starter if the injury is past him.

2010 Rookie Draft
1 (15) Taylor Mays, S, USC = The Outlaws land one of the best athletes in the draft in the middle of the first round with the selection of Taylor Mays. Though he has some deficiencies in coverage; his size, speed and athleticism should upgrade a Outlaws' secondary that needs a difference-maker in the middle of the field.
2 (2Cool Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State = Orlando forks up a few picks to nab a new franchise running back in Ryan Mathews. As a big, physical runner with explosive speed and quickness, Mathews gives the Outlaws an every down back.
3 (5Cool Jonathan Dwyer, RB, Georgia Tech
5 (105) Dominique Franks, CB, Oklahoma
6 (129) Donald Butler, LB, Washington = The Outlaws upgrade the depth at the linebacker position with the addition of Donald Butler. The former Washington star is a versatile player with instincts and awareness to be an impact player in the middle of their defense.
7 (153) Jermaine Cunningham, DE, Florida =
8 (177) Selvish Capers, OT, West Virginia =
9 - David Reed, WR, Utah
10 - Mike Kafka, QB, Northwestern

History
Wikipedia wrote:
The Columbus Panhandles were a professional football team from Columbus, Ohio and later played in the American Professional Football Association, later renamed the National Football League. The origin of the name "Panhandles" was the Pennsylvania Railroad route from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Columbus called the "Panhandle Division," once owned by the Panhandle Railroad (formally the Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railroad) in the late 1800s.
The Panhandles were originally formed in 1901 by the Pennsylvania Railroad Athletic Association in Columbus. Joseph F. Carr, who also ran the railroad's baseball team, took over the football team in 1907 until 1922, He utilized a group of exceptionally strong brothers called the Nessers who were a draw throughout the country. The six Nesser brothers were exceptionally large and strong for people living in the early 20th century. (One brother, Frank Nesser, was 6-foot 3-inches tall and weighed 235 pounds.) They all were exceptionally great athletes for their time.
