All this talk about how Collins is going to be a free agent at the end of the year. I think we might release him and try to get some body out there like Brees. Or another suggestion is to draft Matt Leinart, which I wouldn't be mad about that. What do you guys think about that?

I would rather keep collins and address our D with our first pick in the draft. A solid front seven player is needed. Either the Oregon DT, Kiwi, Hawk, Brooks, Greenway would be better for the team than Leinert would be.

I think we just try to leinart over anyone on D look at the colts they don't have a D and they are undefeated with Manning at the helm. If we have a great QB then we should be in the playoffs every year. Our D is doing pretty well this year they really only gave up 6 points to the skins. Coming into this year our O was supposed to be able to put up 30pts every game and they are not doing it. Whether its collins poor decision making or bad play calling the Offense is what has cost this team a chance at the playoffs.

We should cut Collins. He sucks. He has all this talent around him on offense and he can't score thirty points. Plus we save about 12 mil if we cut him. Besides we should give our other 2 qb's a shot.

I am not going to champion Collins as a great QB but he is not the main problem here. Collins is exactly what he was when Norv and Al went out and got him to lead this team. The thing is that he NEEDS to have good protection and a decent running game in order to be successful. There are only a few QB's that can be successful without these conditions. The problem is, with pressure in his face he WILL make bad decisions. Now, I would like to see Walters develop and take over but if he or Tui takes over (or Leinart for that matter) you had all better be prepared to suffer through at least a couple more bad seasons while they develop. This is what I think: fix the OL, let Walters develop into the #2 spot next year and have him take over the year after. Collins salary is really not an issue for next year as he will be a willing renegotiator. He wants to stay with the Raiders and Al and Norv want to will now. As for Tui, his ship set sail with Gruden. I feel bad for the guy but he does not fit and he has taken steps backward in this offense.
