Morrow is determined to get healthy and to return back to form.
Let's hope it happens. We need another gritty goal scorer on this team. _________________

And later that day, we trade Mike Ribeiro |
Solid trade for us. 2nd Rounders can turn into good NHL players and we got a nice young prospect too. Most of all, we clear up cap space for free agency. That means we could go after Suter, Parise, and Semin. I think we will go after Suter hard. Gaglardi and Joe have been hinting at that for some time.
We probably wont be able to land Parise, but I could see us getting Semin. He'd be nice on a line with Loui. _________________

C Radek Faksa |
Works for me. Good size, age, and rookie stats. He's also a lefty center, which is something we needed more of, considering how many RWs we have drafted in the past. _________________

Awesome. He could be another 2nd round steal for us. We have a history of making picks like that. Neal, Eriksson, Daley, etc. _________________

Dang, Bystrom was rated as the 8th highest Euro prospect in the draft this year. Definitely a big steal to get him in the 2nd. _________________

I think we should target Suter and Semin. Parise prolly isn't interested in coming here, but Suter and Semin should be, especially if we are gonna fork over the money.
Semin is most realistic in my mind. A lot of competition for Suter, so we could be forced out, but Semin isn't really high on everybody's list.
I would look into making a splash via trades though. Nash is of course out there, and so is Luongo, but those will be too tough to pull off. I think another player or two could become disgruntled and force his way out. A guy like RJ Umberger comes to mind. He's a nice gritty winger that can play on any of the top 3 lines. His price wouldn't be too high either. I'd look into that. _________________

I'd really like Olli Jokinen on this team. Semin would be nice as well.
Not too sure about the dmen, but I've always been a fan of Corvo. _________________

Jokinen and Carle would both be welcome here |
Carle would be nice. He'd help out our blueline a lot _________________

I've always liked Ray Whitney, so I love this signing. The dude can still play. We paid a premium price, but we had to make sure that we got somebody that can be a difference maker on this team.
I hope we go after Jokinen, Suter, Carle, and Kuba now. I'd still be down to sign Alexander Semin too as he is young and could be signed long-term to help hold down the fort at RW. Ryder and Whitney will be on their ways out soon enough.
Souray bolted for the Ducks, but he definitely slowed down after his hot start a quarter into the season.
I would still love a trade for Umberger though. He could be a nice depth acquisition. Same with Penner I guess, but Penner wants a lot from what I hear. _________________
