i say the raiders trade kerry collins and charles woodson to the saints for the 2nd pick of the draft and DE will smith. this works for both teams because the raiders need more pass rushing besides burgess, with the second pick the raiders can get leinart or young and can get a cb with the 6th or 7th.will smith has 8.5 sacks and could go opposite of burgess. this will work for the saints because they're gonna draft a qb with their pick, and they need a star cb.

what do you guys think? Rolling Eyes

Collins already played for the Saints. I don't think they are interested in his services again. It would be nice if we could pull that off.

that would be the best trade in the history of football - much better than the randy moss trade even!

i like the idea, but very unlikely. If it did happen, i wouldnt want to see a CB taken with the 6th pick/

are you serious! that would be the most lopsided trade in the history in football. Kerry Collins is going to be released most likely and Woodson will be too expensive for the raiders to keep. Not to mention that Will Smith is pretty good. There is no way in hell that the Raiders could get the 2nd pick for Collins and Woodson let alone the second pick and Will Smith. It would be a great move for the raiders but lets be realistic it will never even be discused.

i think they should also offer a 2nd round pick for it too and get Leinart or Young with the Saints pick. Then get AJ Hawk with the 6th pick

That trade is ridiculous never happen but how about this.

jerry porter and this years third for LaVar Arrington.

Hate to lose Porter but this would allow us to take a top DE with our first pick and a top ss with our early second. Our defense would be massively upgraded.

Or after getting LaVar trade our first pick, and get a later first and another third.

ok.... 2 major problems... 1 being you cant trade a free agent and #2 you dont think the saints are going to take collins do you? I mean they had him once and its turned out bourbon street had too much bourbon for him....HAHA! well any way its a good thought .... but i doubt it will happen

That is about the only way I would trade porter.

I wouldn't trade Porter for LaVarr Arrington, Arrington i think is way over rated, i think we should draft hawk if he's available then move brayton from linebacker back to his natural defensive end position to see what we've got in him and draft a strong safety in the second round.

Tyler brayton is a bust ,c'mon, he was horrible at DE and he's been horrible at LB.

If we can get Hawk that would be great, but I'd say our chances of landing him are about 25 percent if we get the 6th overall pick and if we end up with the 7th I'd say its about 10 percent. More than likely the Packers are going to take Hawk.

LaVar fills that hole and allows us to take a premier DE. Since there are two good one we'll be sure to get one of them.

LaVar is a proven playmaker and even though I think Hawk will be an awesome player you never know until a guy actually plays in the nfl.

P.S. I would be thrilled to get a fourth round pick for Brayton.

agree with the brayton thought completly. If we can't get hawk or lavar what do you guys think about julian peterson. I know he had a down year but hes coming off a serious injury and will probably be a little cheaper because of it.
